This comforter is just what I expected. It’s pretty, looks vintage, it is lightweight, yet very warm. It was quite wrinkled upon receipt, so I sprayed a little wrinkle release and smoothed out some of the wrinkles. The bed skirt was very wrinkled but pressing on medium heat with water took care of that. The part that slips under the mattress (don’t press this) is mesh material and does not cause your mattress to slip around. My bed is in a wood frame and higher than some. The photos show the bedskirt does not reach the floor. The shams were very thin material, but no matter, they’re for decoration only. A few loose threads were found on comforter, but not attached. There were no loose seams. I love this comforter and hope it will last a long time. ... show more

Has extra material to hang over each side to cover up bed running boards. It's light weight but will be warm when a winter blanket is added to the bed during winter.     • Disappointing hoping it’s a defective set

I am a little disappointed. I spent weeks looking for the best comforter for me. I choose this one and still sat on it for a couple weeks after, I looked up all stores you could possibly buy it from and chose to go with Amazon because I am a loyal customer however, I am hoping I got a defective set. As soon as I got it, I washed the pieces individually, separate from anything else, in cold water, on the delicate setting & tumble dry per instructions. The bed skirt came out completely destroyed, I was able to ignore the bed skirt as it goes under the bed and is mostly hidden but when I went to wash the comforter, before throwing it in, I saw it was ripped!!! This just made me so sad, I was so excited for this set. I would have been able to ignore the bed skirt being ripped in the wash per directions but I was just not able to ignore that and the fact that the comforter came ripped. Amazon is sending me another one and I will post a new review once I receive it, really am hoping this was a defective set, as this comforter is so beautiful and soft! Only thing I will mention is it is smaller then what looks in the picture but not by much ... show more
