Indeed!! No need to have a tech to install indoor and outdoor units (unless you damage the service lines or something else. A most!! Attention to detail and internet research. This is my very first mini split install and it works perfect. I had an electrician install the circuit breaker box, and I took care of the rest from the cable whip, a/c service disconnect box, condenser and indoor unit. All it takes is reading instructions carefully, internet research, mostly YouTube for the reading haters and that's all. It cools and heat and it is soooo quiet. Very easy to install. Great instructional videos from the QR code on installation manual. Everything works as advertised and is definitely keeping our space as cool as we like it with ease. Note: Most if not all split units constantly blow air on the indoor unit and the outdoor condenser will only kick on when needed to drop the indoor temp. This unit is very quiet but I could see it being bothersome if right above a bed or couch. Place accordingly! ... show more

Very impressed with how easy it was to install. The instructions are very clear and well laid out. Anyone with some DIY experience should be able to install the unit with out a problem. The unit works great and cools like a champ. Will be getting a second one soon.

The unit is great if it arrives undamaged. It was only the air handler or Wall unit that had a couple of broken attach points. Technical support at this company is nonexistent, especially assistance with the rep. named Michelle at extension 223. Tried calling several times and left messages to call back. The whole unit is over $2000 and very heavy but the damaged wall unit is only about $400 and somewhat light. I just wanted the wall unit replaced. What this company does is tells you to return everything on your own without any help to get it done in hopes that it is too hard to return or you already have started its installation. Which is when I found the damaged parts, I will not return it and find some good adhesive to glue these parts together and hopefully the cover will not vibrate. I recommend the unit but not this company selling it. ... show more

Don't buy the DIY. They won't support you with parts. Went to an authorized dealer and asked if they would come out and repair and they said only to the customers they sell to. Contacted Mr. Cool to get the parts and find someone else to repair but after I gave them all the info they needed, they stopped answering my emails and now I have a 5 year old system that is a pile of junk.
