Top Amazon Reviews

  • Great customer service!
*Update* I originally gave these a 1 star review for the reasons below. The seller quickly reached out and even though I had already returned these to Amazon for a prompt refund, he sent me a complementary new set. They were sent out very quickly through Amazon. He did not ask me to change my review, but I did. Original problems aside, the replacement set works well. They thread onto the keg smoothly and seal. The gas-in post now fits snugly with my gray quick connect and does not leak when I move it. -------------- These looked nice, but that's about it. The gas out was tough to seal to the keg. I had to use a brand new tube oring (as I should), but before changing the oring, I tried another spare post with the old oring and that sealed fine. This did seal with the new oring, but it was worrisome that it leaked so badly with a good condition used oring. I moved on to test the gas in. That leaked big time on the seal with the quick connect. I changed the post oring. The leak got better, but still leaked with any movement. I did notice that the supplied orings are soft material, my spares are standard hardness. But I think the real problem is the depth of the oring groove. I didn't write down the measurements, but the groove is slightly deeper in these than my other gas posts preventing the oring from sealing tightly. This was also apparent in how easy the gas quick connect was to spin. Lots of up and down play and pretty much zero resistance to rotate the quick connect. It felt like there was no oring in there, not a tight fit at all. The flow through these posts was also very low. The gas was barely hissing through. Not recommended, too much time wasted testing them. ... show more

  • Dont work. They leak dont meet up at the flared seal. Too many threads in valve.
Have the same problem as all the 1 star reviews. Ended up stripping the threads on one from trying to tighten. Fortunately the threads on the replacement stripped and not my keg. It is the threads going to deep on the replacement. They only need three threads not the 15 that run anmost the length of the valve. Probably works on some but not all. I say check the length of threads on your keg 1st if its 3 threads these wont work. ... show more

  • Quality control lacking.
These haven't been used yet but they seem fine funtionally. The problem is the potentially dangerous quality issue of having metal shavings left inside of the post. These could have easily fallen into a keg unnoticed when installing. These are big enough to not find their way through a beer line but smaller ones could. I certainly would not want metal shavings in my beer. ... show more

  • Well Manufactured But Flawed Design
I have three sets of these and initially I couldn't get them to work. As soon as I pressurized the keg I would have the contents streaming out of the post. It turns out that as I tighten them the base of the post hits the top of the keg before there is a good seal. The way I got around this is to use two o-ring on the tube. After I figured that out I've had no issues with them for months. I plan to machine down the base of these posts by about a quarter of an inch to resolve the issue without extra o-rings. ... show more

  • Doesn't seal properly on Super Champion kegs
After installing these and pressure testing I immediately got leaks from the bases of both posts. I saw another review that mentioned the same problem and was fixed by using 2 o rings on the dip tubes and that seems to have fixed the leaking but now the disconnects are difficult to get on from the extra compression of the internal spring. I think if they were about 1/16" to 1/8" shorter at the threads they would work perfect but if you're looking for cheap that can be made to work these will be fine for you. ... show more

  • Just works!
I bought this set of posts and poppets to replace a dying set from a used corny keg. The install was a breeze. However, it was strange that their were lots of metal shavings in the bag with the product. I assume that they were excess from threading the posts, but they were sharp and posed a nuisance when removing the product from the bag. None of this had an effect on the product. Don't forget the keg lube as you install, but so far the posts are holding pressure great and now I have a usable keg again! Will buy again if needed. ... show more

  • Perfect replacements for my aging posts.
Bought these as replacements-for-my-replacements (from a different company)... These are perfect; the springs aren't too hard, the machining is nice and clean, they seal perfectly; are easy to install and clean. (That is, once you get used to this style of post where the spring/poppet aren't 'permanently' attached....warning you WILL have a spring/poppet go flying the first few times you disassemble to clean your kegs...). That said...they're overall perfect. ... show more

  • Good quality, other than it leaking.
Leaks (strangely enough) from the liquid post. As everyone else has said, the threads are too long. So basically useless. I had high hopes, they are very well made otherwise. Two or three less threads and it would Definitely have been a 5 star product. I see others have added an additional o-ring to compensate, but that means I need to order a set of o-rings, and that’s still not a guaranteed fix. ... show more
