I currently have a number of MR16 landscape lights around the front of my house, so these bulbs are a simple replacement. I also have many smart bulbs of the normal 'screw in' variety. Of all the different apps I have managed to collect (or in some cases been forced to collect) I like Smart Life the best. It covers more than half of my smart devices and typically works first time every time. Another big advantage is I never seem to have to 'reload' a device, like I have to do with some other apps. Kudos for using Smart Life. These loaded into the app right away, and since Smart Life is already an enabled skill in my Alexa app they connected to that automatically and work as they should. Bulbs are pretty bright, and I love that I can tune the white color to match my other outdoor lighting. Beside normal dusk to dawn, I also have several routines for various holidays on my other bulbs (St Patrick's, Halloween, Christmas etc.), so will add these to the routines to make holiday decorating that much simpler. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but these bulbs exceeded my expectations. Setup was a breeze—just install them, connect to the app, and they’re ready to go. The colors are vibrant, and the white tones offer great versatility for different moods. The music sync feature is interesting, though I’m not sure I’d use it often. Integration with Google and Alexa is a nice bonus. Wi-Fi connectivity could be tricky depending on your setup, but Bluetooth is an alternative. Plus, once set to a color, they’ll remember the setting even if your lights run on a timer. If you're looking for colored lights for your landscaping, I recommend these. ... show more

Works fine. They get a little hot which may impact their longevity. The wireless range seems a bit limited even with a high-end mesh network. Overall, mission accomplished. I can change the light color via my phone app.

Like that these work with the Smart Life app which I had already installed for other smart home devices and is compatible with Home Assistant which I use. Configuring these was easy and they work well - there are lots of options for controlling the color and turning them on and off. I'm not a big fan of combining home automation into a device with a limited lifespan (lightbulb) but these are LED so they should last a long time and given the form factor and the level of control (color changing) it is not possible to do it any other way. I can’t figure out how to use these. I’ve never seen a bulb like this before. So I feel it’s kinda confusing. I gave it three stars because if I knew how it worked it’s probably a good product. I have to do some googling to understand it.

This review is for: MR16 Smart Light Bulbs, MR16 LED Bulb Color Changing, Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant, 16 Million Colors RGBCW, WiFi & Bluetooth Light Bulbs, Music Sync, 2-Pack Controlling the color on MR16 is a little more tricky than you might first anticipate. If you are using a remote control, then the remote signal has to be purposely short so that you walk right up to the bulb and change the color. Otherwise you're changing the color on bulbs that you're not intending to and it would be very hard to control the colors on all of the bulbs in your system. This helps fix that. With these, I can just go right into the app and change the color on the bulbs. The colors are excellent in the connectivity to Alexa and Google makes this so much easier and more user friendly. ... show more

I just installed some new low voltage lighting in my garden. I put these lights in a couple of spotlights and turned them on. By default the lights were a bright white color. I then open my Smart Life program which I already had on my phone due to some other lights I had purchased. The Smart Life program came up with new lights found and installed them with a single click. I was then able to change the color of the lights to whatever I wanted. I appreciate that these light use the Smart Lift program which is common for lots of lighting instead of a custom program that only works with these lights. ... show more

Not UL or ETL listed. Fit well in my outdoor fixtures and provide a good light pattern. The WiFi connectivity is a challenge even with having an outdoor access point but I did get it to work satisfactorily. I use the Smart Life app for multiple other RGB light fixtures and it is easy to set up and use. Once the bulbs connected to the WiFi, the app easily discovered them and let me do the configuration. These compact RGB lights are pricey - from any brand or manufacturer and these are no different. Longevity in the elements of the Midwest is TBD.
