It did a reasonably good job of cutting through the first notebook (cardboard face and back plates, and 50 pages).     • Do not cut 1" and poke holes in paper
Disappointed that the smalled curcle is 1.58" (40mm). It is not listed here but it's on the package. I particularly needed 1" circle. The description says all circle sizes up to 9". This is false advertisement but I decided to keep for the bigger circles. As for the pointer, it of course poke holes in paper. When I tried putting it in the plastic piece as a shield it kept slipping then I couldn't get a good circle. You have to circle around a few times if using cardstock or anything thicker than paper. The media could not be loaded. This was easy to use, it is sturdy enough to make clean cuts and the blades are very sharp, so be careful. I got some extra blades as well and the packaging was so cute and simple. It is worth the money and you get exactly what you pay for.
