It did a reasonably good job of cutting through the first notebook (cardboard face and back plates, and 50 pages). I could have changed out the blade to do the second one, but for my purposes, a rougher edge was actually preferred. Is a bit awkward to use until you figure out the sweet spot. The "measurments" on this cutter don't make any sense and don't match any rules that I am familiar with. Replacement blades are not to be found and I had to resharpen the two that came with it.

I'm a collage artist and don't need the aggravation. Other than that it works really well. I would not be complaining but for the huge hole in the middle, which ruins the paper. However, it will cut thru 200gsm card stock with no problem. Might cut heavier cardstock or chip board but I haven't tried it. Hate the hole. ... show more

This is the worse item I have ever seen. If it cuts paper you are lucky. I bought it to cut felt circles and it absolutely will not cut. So disappointed!!!!
