Includes an all-in-one remote starter data interface module, and T-Harness. Firmware preloaded for your vehicle. All components required for installation are included. Automatic Transmission ONLY To prevent theft, the remote starter will shut down the vehicle when a door is opened.

This was actually not too bad to install. Some dash pieces had to be removed to access the plug in components but otherwise it was straightforward. There are helpful videos on YouTube as well on how to install.

2017 Highlander XLE - 1500’ remote version Most steps were as expected. The only bit that took me a while was finding the black plug in the steering column. You have to turn the wheel to each side to remove a screw, then peel the plastic lower off around the column adjustment lever. Then you’ll find that pesky plug. I believe it was #2 in the instructions.

I really like this product. At first, I was a little intimidated, like getting into the guts of the electronic wiring is a pretty big deal. So I viewed the video, downloaded the instructions, and said to myself, I can do this. And I did it. It took me an hour to get the job done. I had written instructions next to me, and I had the YouTube video on my phone. I followed the instructions exactly, and what do you know, I got er done. If I can do it, almost everyone else can too. Buy the remote and save yourself hundreds of dollars easy.
