This item was not worth buying, caused me a great deal of Fiancial loss and hurt for the holidays.. I bought it on Dec 19th, and it came on the 23rd. The shop I called had a last minute opening the same day. Paid a hefty price but I have a back issue so I can't do work myself due to bad disc's.. the remote start stopped working thr following day and with that the car stopped starting, unlocking, locking, and the car was like a brick, did not show signs of life. My wife and I just recently had a newborn of 3 days old during that time and we were stranded at a Target parking lot after shopping. I had to call a tow, and this was all on Christmas Eve. So many things during that time were closed. I could not get in to see anyone until the 26th after Christmas. The installer told me that the unit had a short circuit and this caused many fuses to be blown in the fusebox all related to the BCM. Car started and showed a few warning lights that went away after driving. I contacted the sellers and they were of no help. They dismissed everything and said that the unit would not have any issues and the installer did something wrong. An installer of 15 plus years of experience. On top of that they were upset that I used an installer and this should of been done as DIY. I have proof that a support tech manager of MPC said that to me. They told me to return the item and also pay for return shipping. This is not good, especially since i would not be in this predicament if the item was actually working and not defective. Seller did not help, MPC is a company I will not do business with and I want to express what I dealt with. I called, messages, and emailed. No help. This ruined Christmas with my family, and this could of been way worse. If I was somewhere unknown and my car refused to turn on and I was stuck somewhere waiting for a tow truck with a new borm and I can't even get heat working, is pretty dangerous for a fragile newborn. I am down about 500 dollars and also 300 dollars for this unit. My wife and I both took work off so we can get customed two our first kid.
