It’s definitely a step up compared to the built in iPhone microphone. This allows you to isolate sounds better. Keep in mind this is good for closer sound you want to pick up. It’s really perfect for vlogging especially if your holding the camera and commentating. It has a fuller sound to it. I would say its a little warm in the low frequencies. Might be more useful when outside in a windy situation but when I was testing indoors with my iPhone 12 Pro , I did not hear any difference in audio quality. In 2021 I would of liked to see the overall size to be smaller. I like that it comes with wind guard as well and microphone bends forward and backward to better direct towards the source. When playing back audio from phone, remember to unplug this device as you wont hear any audio when this is plugged in. Comes with a nifty little case but not custom to the microphone. I would of liked a custom foam insert that would of held the microphone in place but instead just comes with a universal semi hard case with full zipper with mesh pockets inside that you just place the microphone in. When I received item, it was in the case and the wind guard was all dented from being in this standard universal mesh pocket. For the money I would continue to look elsewhere. ... show more
