My kittens love it, they eat as is without having to be mixing it with wet food . The only thing is that I wish the b
ag has those zip lines at the top of the bag that way it would be easier to close. I have to use a clothespin to close the bag to prevent it from opening.

I realize this is a kitten food but I buy it for my 20+ year old senior cat. Her teeth are not what they used to be. She can eat this and her younger sister loves it!

This was recommended to me by a veterinarian since it is reasonably priced, from a reputable company that I can trust has made a complete diet to meet all my kittens needs. My kittens eat it no problem, and I love that the pieces are smaller than your average sized kibble so they have no problem chow
ing down. However, my only complaint is that I had bought a smaller bag of the same brand and type from a pet store before getting this larger size, and the shape and texture of the food seems different. It smells the same, but this bag of food seemed more granular and had a lot more crumbs than the other bag did. My kittens did not seem to care, and it hasn't caused a problem so I'll stick with it.

I feed this to my foster kittens, along with canned food. They always like it. The very small kibble is easy on their tiny teeth. It's the most economical way to go, as they eat me out of house and home. Very digestible as well.

Foster recommended, kitten loves it

My kitten's foster had recommended this dry food, and it was a great option when I first got my kitten since I wanted to make her feel more at home. While I have since switched to wet food for its added health benefits, I still use this dry food as a backup option for if I ever run out of canned food
. Cats don't need a lot of carbs in their diet and benefit from the added water in wet canned food. (I like to use the analogy that dry pet food is like feeding your pets potato chips vs a healthy meal) One of the things I appreciate about this dry food is that my cats seem to really enjoy the taste of it. It's always a good sign when my cats eagerly approach their food bowls! In fact, my other cat likes this food so much that he often prefers it over his own food. Overall, I would recommend the IAMS PROACTIVE HEALTH Healthy Kitten Dry Cat Food for anyone on a strict budget. Otherwise, buy wet canned or raw if you have the money/time.

Does What It's Supposed to

I ran through a couple of options before I landed on this cat food. I've settled with this one because of one important factor. My kitten no longer has rancid bomb dropping, paint peeling toots. This works well with her tummy and she likes it. She'll even eat it by itself (I usually mix with wet) wit
h no problem. I will also mention that I have a good nose and so I've taken to sniffing my cat's food whenever I try something new and this one definitely smells more on the healthier side that others we've tried. I will say it has a slight greasy smell to it but I'm sure that's the high carb/fat content that kittens need to grow. I definitely would not feed this to an adult, even if it's the last thing you have in the cabinet and you're struggling. I can SMELL the high fatty content. It will be like feeding them donuts.
