While I have not had this robot mower for very long so I cannot speak to how it will hold up over time, I have been incredibly impressed by the device so far. Its small form factor allows it to get to all areas of my yard very easily. I was worried that it may get stuck or leave ruts in the yard but so far, even with a somewhat difficult yard with lots of trees it’s handled everything really well. It does take longer to mow the entire yard than it would with a traditional mower but I don’t mind that because it is not me doing the work. I also am able to mow significantly more frequently than I ever could before so my lawn looks a bit healthier and happier being able to keep it at a consistent level where the sun doesn’t burn it up and weeds don’t start growing. The blades have been sharp and cut through my grass here in Indiana which is mainly a tall fescue pretty easily. I’d consider this a great buy for price and I’d easily recommend it to my friends. All of my neighbors have been so curious to watch how it does and they all complement the nice lines and cutting performance. I’m a very happy camper during this summer month! ... show more

This thing is AMAZING. It only took me about an hour to get it setup and now I never have to mow again. I have about 750 sq. Meters lawn to mow. All I had to do was control it with my phone in the app like a remote control car along the border of my lawn. Then i setup no go zones for my shed and trees by guiding it around them. After that, it worked flawlessly. Avoids humans and dogs or other animals in the yard - tested several times so very safe for kids, pets (my dogs like to try to play with it and it stops immediately), and gardens (we have one and it avoids it by applying no go zone - very easy to setup). It has a ton of configuration options like how tall/short you want the grass cut. It has a configuration option for the border to move the blades on the inside to the edge so you have less to weed wack. You can set it up to mow your lawn vertically or horizontally. I set it up to run automatically twice a week. This thing is cheaper than most every riding lawn mowers so is a no brainer purchase because you dont have to do anything but use a weed wacker on the very edges which you have to do with a regular mower anyways. It even handles the inclines in my backyard with no issies. If it does run into any issues, like it gets stuck due to branch getting caught in wheel (not common) you get a notification on your phone in the app so you know to fix it. It senses rain and you can have it stop whennit detects it or keep going - it work in the rain. Only negative is power station must be on the grass which I would prefer to keep it in my shed but will not deduct any stars because this is a very small issues and it excels in every other area. You can also control it remotely from the app and can access the camera on the front of the mower which can also be a useful home security tool to check if you think someone is in your yard and don't have to check yourself. I can't reccomend this thing enough it is saving me hours and hours of mowing. Also, I dont know why anyone would put bad reviews for this. I would absolutely not recommend this mower to anyone. ESPECIALLY if you don't have a tiny, PERFECTLY flat lawn. This mower says it is capable of mowing half an acre. I have a 0.4 acre lot. The claim that it can do 0.5 acres is a flat out lie. It takes about 5 days to mow my lot. It gets stuck on literally nothing.. as in, I can use the remote control when it says it's stuck. Small dips in the yard? You will be pulling this thing out of it at least a few times per mow. If the yard is even slightly damp (like in the morning) it will tell you the blade can't spin about once every 5-10 minutes. The app? Developed by idiots. It starts telling you that it's time for maintenance with 10 hours left before it's needed. Which in itself isn't bad but the fact that the maintenance notifications basically make the app UNUSABLE unless you just clear the maintenance item is STUPID. I can't remote control the mower unless I'm standing next it it... Useless. I was out of town for 4 days and it got stuck... On its OWN BASE STATION about 30 minutes after leaving the house and could not remote control it to get it back on the base station. If you have a Hollywood perfect 50 sqft yard, this thing might be bearable. If you have anything else, save yourself some time and mow your yard. This chineasium BS is a waste of money and time. I'd rather mow my yard with a weed eater than buy another Mova. Update: Spare/replacement parts are not available. You need to go through the repair processes for something as basic to replace as the front caster wheel which was clearly designed to be user replaceable. It is held in with 2 clips that you simply pinch and pull out. A child could replace the front wheels. But I have been going back and forth with support for 3 days on this topic. The repair process will mean being without the mower for 2-3 weeks. Which, while it is incredibly annoying to use is rough for me because my manual mower is out of commission. I will say it again. A pain to setup the map when you are close to the limit of the mowing capacity

Nice mower but the moment you go 1 inch over the maximum mowing capacity in the map it will not allow you to finish the map and you have to start all over again guessing where to cut off part of the area you are mowing to allow you to finish the map. The Anthbot lets you go 2 or 3 times over the mowing capacity it just takes longer to mow. ... show more

easy to set up and operate

Very impressive performance for what it costs. We have it running on a lot with lots of "things" to mow around (shrubs, swing sets, flowerbeds). The yard is pretty flat, but not rolled. There is grass on all four sides with 5 zones to mow. It cuts grass neatly and very close to objects and borders. We calculated the grass area and it is slightly less than 1/3 acre and this is coming to the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. To mow this complicated yard takes nearly 8 hours and over 3 hours of that is due to charging the battery The battery takes an hour to charge each time, but this system could easily be made better if the battery could be changed on the fly or replaced with a bigger battery. On the plus side, it can mow in the dark because it can't be heard from 20 feet away. It also recharges itself flawlessly, and mowing at night has been reliable so far. Ordered the Mova Lidax Ultra 2000 after being tired of mowing my grass all summer in the heat. When it arrived I set it up and staked the base Into the ground in under 10 minutes. The APP walks you through the set up step by step and couldn't be easier. Mapping my yard was simple. Just walk behind the robot while controlling it from the app. I didnt try the auto mapping feature because of the way my yard is set up. Once It was all mapped out. Editing the map was simple. Creating paths between the zones is simple and easy to see on the app. I have a small dog amd a toddler so I was worried about the robot running into them in the grass so I tested the obstacle avoidance and honestly I wasn't expecting it to be so precise. I used a small plastic owl to test it and it came within centimeters to it and stopped and went right around. I feel better knowing the obstacle avoidance works so well. Cutting the grass is effortless and leaves nice thin stripes. The 3 blade deck works well. I wouldnt try to cut 2 inches off but for an every 2 or 3 day cut, it does a fantastic job. It gets as close to the edge as you want when mapping it out and havent had it veer off course yet. The tires provide good grip for the rear wheel drive mower but doesn't tear up my yard. I wish I would have bought this sooner but was hesitant about the safety and how well it would actually perform. I now have more time to do other things around the house. If youre on the fence about getting this, dont wait just buy it now. ... show more

Very frustrated with the mapping. If you have a lawn that is a straight square rectangle you’ll be fine. But if you have curves or gardens, heaven help you. I spent hours trying to get the robot mapped. I did both IA and manual. And they were miserable, not accurate. Starting from scratch tomorrow. If I can’t accomplish it. I will be returning it. Oh, and sprinkler heads are extremely difficult. Does not do well with those. Surprisingly, I was contacted by the company and they wanted to troubleshoot my issues. There was communication back-and-forth and they were very responsive. I finally have the robot functioning. It is basically doing what I need it to do which is mow. I do have to drag the manual lawnmower out to do the edges and around the sprinkler heads, but at least I don’t have to do the entire yard. At this point, I’m satisfied with it and no regrets in the purchase, but it did take a lot of time to get to this point. A couple of things to be aware of when you are mapping a zone if it overlaps with another zone, the app automatically merges it into one large zone. You then have to go back and separate the zones otherwise the battery is continually having to be recharged or potentially overheat. I already have a few MOVA robot vacuums, and they have been good quality products for me, so when I started looking for a robotic lawn mower, I decided to give the MOVA Ultra a try, and compare it with another robotic mower that I bought from another brand recently. I’ve only had it for a few days, but so far it has been working very well and has given me a good first impression. I have about 2 acres of grass to maintain, but the MOVA Ultra is rated for up to 0.5 acre, so I only mapped a portion of my property for testing. It took me roughly an hour to get everything mapped and set up. I didn’t have to install boundary wires or antennas. I used the app to guide the mower around the perimeter, then created no-go zones around areas I wanted it to avoid. I also created mowing zones and set up a path between the zones and the charging station. The mower has had no trouble using the ramp I already have in place. The app has been one of my favorite parts of the mower. There are quite a few settings to work with, including cutting height, mowing direction, scheduling, and how the mower handles the edges. I particularly like the setting that brings the blades closer to the edge because it reduces the amount of weed trimming I have to do afterward. I have mine scheduled to mow every day, so I don’t have to remember to start it. When the battery gets low, it returns to the charging station, recharges, and then resumes mowing. The obstacle avoidance has also worked well so far. I’ve tested it around people, dogs, trees, garden areas, and other objects, and it stops when it detects something in its path. The no-go zones were easy to create, and the mower has stayed out of those areas. It also handles the inclines in my backyard without any problems and has been able to navigate around oddly shaped objects without constantly getting stuck. The cutting quality has been good too. The lawn stays consistently maintained, and being able to adjust the cutting height and mowing direction gives me more control over how I want the grass to look. Another thing I appreciate is how quiet it is compared with a traditional mower. I can have it running while I’m inside working or relaxing without dealing with the usual noise from a gas or electric mower. The 4G connection is also useful because I can control the mower remotely through the app. If it runs into an unusual problem, such as a branch getting caught in a wheel, I receive a notification so I know it needs attention. That hasn’t happened often, but it is reassuring to know I’ll get an alert if something does go wrong. I also like being able to access the front camera remotely. Besides checking on the mower, I can see that being useful for checking what is happening in my yard without having to go outside. There are several safety and security features that I appreciate as well. The child lock and anti-theft alarm are useful additions for a mower that operates around my property without me standing nearby. If the mower is picked up, it sounds an alarm and requires manual verification. The rain detection is another useful option because I can configure it to stop when rain is detected or continue operating depending on how I want it to behave. There are a few things I would change. The biggest limitation for me is the 0.5-acre coverage because my property is much larger. That isn’t really a fault with the mower since I knew the coverage limit before buying it, but it does mean I can only use it on part of my property. I also would have liked a longer battery runtime. For the price, I think this mower gives you a lot to work with. It has already saved me a considerable amount of time and handles mowing, scheduling, charging, navigation, slopes, obstacles, and no-go zones with very little involvement from me. What surprised me most was how straightforward the initial setup was. I’ve only had one previous experience with robotic mowers, and after getting the map, zones, and paths set up, using this one was much easier than I expected. I haven’t had it long enough to judge long-term durability, so that is something I’ll need more time to evaluate. Based on these first few days, though, I’m happy with how the MOVA Ultra is performing. It has made keeping the portion of my property mapped for testing much easier, and I plan to provide a one-month update after I’ve had more time to see how it continues to perform. ... show more
