  • Helps with grinding
Good purchase

  • For making my own Snoring Reducer
I use leather needles and thread (also purchased from Amazon) to sew the bottom one further forward than the top one. For my first trial I used a regular needle and dental floss. To avoid snoring surgery, a device to keep the jaw forward is what the Ear Nose and Throat Otolaryngologist will prescribe for you if you snore: such a device holds your jaw farther forward to keep your tongue from vibrating in your throat. Through the doctor, $300. I tried buying one at CVS for $40 but it went too far back along my molars which made me gag. With these I can trim them so only the front teeth are engaged. To be clear: this product is not designed to stop snoring. You can build a snore-reducing device yourself by sewing the top and bottom together. When you sew together it is trial and error so buy a dozen to experiment with. The pieces you cut off can be used as shims/spacers to also keep your mouth open for more oxygen as you sleep. I am on my third set. My wife is pleased. The first one I built took me four hours. Second one two hours. Third one thirty minutes. This brand works well. You don't need to heat or mold at all. For my first device I bought another brand. All plastic mouth guards will work. I like this one because you can get a two-pack or an eight-pack. ... show more

  • Might Help
It fits good but the material is very thick which makes hard to keep the mouth closed.

  • Easy to use
The process for using it was streamlined and easy to follow, but It was extremely uncomfortable and painful after a couple nights of using it. But I've been told that's normal. If you can handle it, the price for these are really fair and I'd go for it. It's very thick, too and you can choke on the sides of it easily. ... show more

  • Would not advise using these or any kind like it.
Just be smart and get an expensive one at a dentist. It will benefit you in the long run, trust me. In many cases these will make clenching and make teeth movement worse overtime. I've had cases where I got these things to mold perfectly, but still the clenching problem remained and got worse. It only made my TMJ and clenching worse overtime. While it does protect the teeth, it is not worth it when it comes down to it. Be wise and get one custom fitted from a dentist. Would not recommend for that reason alone. While these will work temporarily, but should only be used until you can get one from a dentist. ... show more

  • Easy to use!
These are so easy to mold and use. I use them at night, so I don't grit my teeth. This brand is sturdy, I bite through the first brand I tried. I will definitely buy these again.

  • Works good if you follow the instructions
I read the reviews before purchasing and there were a few that had issues with the molding so I took care to follow the instructions and got it right on the first try. First off don't boil the water , that is too hot! I put a small bowl of water in the microwave for 2-3 mins and checked it with my digital meat thermometer until the water was 180 degrees. Next I put the guard in, I didn't set a timer I just counted to 12 and used a spoon with slots in it to scoop it out and place it on a paper towel, the top did start to curl down a little bit so if I were to do it again I might do 10 seconds. But I just used my fingers to keep if from curling more, I only let is set for about 3 seconds anyway. Then I put it in my mouth and bit down like it said and held pressure with my tongue on the back. It fits pretty well, it took me a few nights to get used to wearing it , but this morning when I woke up I almost forgot I had it in. I definitely would recommend this to anyone! ... show more

  • Read the instructions twice, and then still mess up
So...followed the instructions implicitly. Heated the water in the microwave to 180F. Dropped in the bite guard and let it sit 12 seconds. When I went to pick it up with the chopstix it was so soft the edges collapsed and stuck to itself like a piece of gum. I pried it back apart and popped it in my mouth, attempting to form it. By this time it had cooled off quite a bit and was too firm so it formed on one edge but not where I'd handled it to pry it apart. I tossed it back in the water for about 8 seconds to "re-soften" it and popped it in my mouth. This sort of worked....but I still ended up with a big lump on one side back at the molars I was sure would give me some kind of weird headache since it was only one the one side. I didn't realize there were 2 sizes, so there's only a pair in adult and a pair in kid size. I can't use the kid size so that's 50% of the package basically wasted. And...I'd just destroyed one adult. So....I tried the process again hoping maybe the kid size would stretch/form enough to be usable. This time...in the water for a little less time, carefully removed with chopstix. Being much smaller I popped it in my mouth and it ended up crooked since it doesn't extend all the way to my back teeth. Once it had cooled I realized it was kind of turned to one side. Since it was crooked and too small....right into the trash. 3rd attempt....into the water 10 seconds, carefully removed with chopstix. Insert kind of stuck to the paper towel but not terribly. Into my mouth and formed nicely. I haven't tried this for a night yet so I'll update the review once I actually have a chance to try it. ... show more
