Description

The convenient 5-Gallon All-In-One Hanging Deer Feeder from Moultrie includes a collapsible plastic bucket with a programmable feeder kit that's a breeze to set up. Just add batteries and feed, then find the perfect place for it to hang. A tapered hopper with a collapsible design saves on shipping costs and shelf space, while a built-in funnel keeps feed from collecting on the bottom and sides of the bucket. This feeder requires just 4 AA batteries (sold separately), making it a great option for backyard feeding. Feed should be around .25 inches in diameter or smaller on its longest side. Whole, clean kernel corn is recommended. Corn mixed well with soybeans or protein pellets can be effective; however, mixing could cause clogging depending on the ratio of corn to the additive or type/brand of the additive.

I’m really happy with this feeder. I bought a second one a day later. Super easy to set up, built well, looks good, easy for one person to handle and a good price too. It holds 5 gallons of corn and the lid goes on tight. The timer has four settings. To start off, I’m only using two feeder settings for two seconds at a time. You have the option of up to six seconds. I wasn’t sure how much I would like the feeder but once it was set up, I’m really glad I bought it. It only takes four AA batteries. Amazingly simple to set up and start using. I use it to throw chicken scratch for my chickens twice a day. The only complaint I could have, is that the sections don't stay locked in place good, and sometimes while filling it, the top ring will collapse down, and have to be reset. I have feral barn cats and finally found this affordable feeder with timer to feed the cats! It works great and now the raccoons aren’t eating 20 pounds of cat food a day! I have it set to feed at 7 am and 3 pm at 4 seconds! It puts out plenty and yes still cat food left for the raccoons ! Love this product! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I modified this with a bowl to direct most of the feed downwards to feed meat rabbits (colony style). It has been working well and the feed that doesn't get directed downwards gives the rabbits something to dig/search for in the hay. It did get clogged in the beginning but I believe that was due to the mod I had made trying to keep all the food going straight down. I removed that mod and it hadn't clogged since and gives the rabbits some joy. I do however have it under cover two 8 second spins a day will empty it in little over a week. So fill it once a week and my auto watering system makes the chores easy. ... show more

Really good little feeder and holds a good bit of corn. Set at 10 seconds dispense time once a day corn lasts well over a week when filled to the top. Not the most intuitive to program or change settings on when hanging. Controls are under the spinner and pivot downwards to access. Can be difficult to see if feeder is not mounted high enough to avoid bending to see clearly. Same alkaline batteries for several months and still going strong. ... show more

Does not work, I tried 2 different brands of new batteries and it would briefly turn on then fade. It doesn’t spray out corn at all. Don’t know if I just got a defective product or if they all are junk but very disappointed.

When it first dispensed the squirrels all FROZE... for about 2 seconds and then ran over to see what made that cRaZy noise. I like it, I think it's a very good value for the money. I debated over 4 or 5 stars. 4 because it's a teeny bit chintzy, but ended up at 5 because the price does reflect that. It's incredibly easy to set up the timer -- no instructions required, but it is a little tricky to get the hang of putting the feed in it -- when it's not hung on something, the feed keeps falling all over the place. So my advice is: hang it up before you load it, and... make sure the baffles are all, ALL the way down. One of mine was hung up which explained half of why the feed was falling out.
