Easy set up. The legs push together without anything interlocking them. There isn't any plates under the legs which can cause the feeder to become uneven. There wasn't a battery included but I didn't see until it stated on the box upon delivery (some reviews stated they got one). The feed time was easy to set up and program. Feeder has been in operation for over a year with no problems. I did take advice from an online video and where the legs are inserted in the feeder body I filled the holes with liquid nails to add strength, after seeing other feeders with similar mounting, I am glad I did. Instead of using the plastic rivets to join the body halves I spent a couple extra bucks and used bolts washers and nuts. ... show more

I'm giving this a 5 star based on value for the price. This is the most basic feeder out there but it does the job. The timer has 4 time settings (5, 10,15, 20 sec) and no ability to control the motor speed. You can set four daily feed times. The distance between spinner plate and funnel is preset. You can add a couple washers to the mount bracket increase the distance to feed faster or compensate for dirty corn etc. The legs don't have feet so I made leg bases out of 1x6 so it wouldn't sink into the mud. Bought this the end of January, put it out and it didn't even last 2 months. The motor unit wont even power on. Everything about the feeder screams cheap. Very flimsy.
