For the value, you CANNOT go wrong! This was exactly what I was looking for, I needed a bread lame for my sourdough and a new knife that was sharp enough to cut through a thick crust, and baby this is it. It arrived in a cool box with a finger guard (personally probably won't ever use lol) and the knife and lame itself came with covers. I am very satisfied and I am a very picky shopper. No regrets!

First the knife comes in a very nice box that would be appropriate by itself as a gift box. You open the box and the knife strikes you as, well, beautiful. I am a chef and that is not the word I would usually use to describe a knife but, well, it is. In the box is a protective sheath, a good idea since the knife is very sharp, more sharp than any bread knife you have ever used in most cases. There is an included finger guard too for added safety. Then comes the performance. I have used it to cut my homemade bread, brat buns, hotdog buns, Kayser rolls and cake. The soft breads like hotdog buns it slices easily without crushing them, no small feat, and the more dense artisan type breads can be easily cut as thin as you like. I tested it on other foods and it is sharp and capable, it easily trimmed a pineapple and a rutabaga, that tells you how good it is.

Love this knife so much that I bought it for both homes and as a gift. But he very careful- accidentally dropped it the other day from Counter height and the blade snapped off the handle when I hit my kitchen floor. Very scary and hard to believe as it feels solid.

I’m a trained former chef, so I know knives. This baby is the sharpest I’ve ever come across. Be VERY careful using this knife. It’s so sharp that I sliced through a bagel so cleanly that I didn’t even notice it go through the top of my thumb. 3 stitches later and some PTSD keeps me on my toes now. With that said, this is also one of the most beautifully made knives I’ve ever seen. The teeth are a bit longer than any other serrated knife out there. The handle feels so secure and well made, like it’s all one piece with the blade. Two surprises were the design pattern on the metal part, it’s like a work of art, and the high end packaging. Absolutely beautiful. I would buy more by this brand for sure, but be very careful, use a cut resistant glove or some other type of precautionary method to keep your fingers!! Otherwise, an amazing quality knife for a fraction of the cost of major knife makers.

Bought this knife set for hubby for a Christmas gift. (He's a retired chef and loves to bake bread. One lucky girl here). The knife does a fantastic job! Cuts through the crust like it's butter. Have to be careful though if you're trying to do thin cuts. We have a special cutting board when we use this knife. It will ruin a regular cutting board. But hubby loves it!

I already have the chefs knife from mosfiata and thats been seeing a ton of use every day for quite a few months now. I usually don't care much about bread knives since I just push harder to cut and don't mind if the bread comes out a bit flattened. But lately I've started getting into bread making and realized if I wanted something to look presentable to people if I take it to work or family dinners I should probably get something a that works. Just like the chefs knife this one is great and for the price I couldn't be happer. Whats in the fancy looking box: The knife comes with a nice sheath that fits it really well so it doesn't fall off in the drawer. It also came with a bread lame which I had never seen or heard of so I had to look it up and it looks like it'll come in handy when I get to bread that needs the scoring on top. One thing that makes me go 'hmmm' is the knuckle guard that it came with. I don't think thats really needed for this type of knife but if you need a knuckle guard now you have one.
