I wanted to share my experience for anyone who was as undecided as I was when I was searching for color glosses and color conditioners. I did a lot of looking at products and reviews and ended up choosing to to try: DPHUE and this Moroccanoil color conditioner. DPHUE was the winner hands down. Even though it says it does not cover gray, I was delighted to find that it DID actually sort of partly stain my very stubborn wiry gray so that it looks a little bit more like highlights.It darkened my very faded light brown hair (that had a little too much red) in a nice rich way. Just a deepening and enriching. But the best part is how shiny and glossy it made my hair. Almost nothing that promises shine and gloss actually works on my hair. I have very fine, very dry, NOT shiny hair—alas. It always looks a bit fuzzy and the only thing that really usually gives it shine is LOTS of oil. I was amazed to find that this product actually did give my hair a little bit of sheen and a really nice soft shiny glossy feeling. I actually kept running my fingers through my hair. And it lasted a really long time (I don’t shampoo every day because my hair is so dry, and after a week it still had that slightly thicker, glossy feeling! I am a believer in this product. And I am so picky about hair products. This Moroccan oil conditioner was a darker brown than the light brown DPHUE and it did stain my hands, where the DPHUE did not. The Moroccanoil did darken my hair but it did not even touch the gray. (I know it says it wont, but so does DPHUE and it did stain the grey) Moreover, I was disappointed that it did not give my hair that shiny glossy smooth feeling at all. I’m glad I just bought a sample pack of this one.

For temporary hair dye this stuff is amazing! My hair came out incredibly soft and healthy which is not the usual experience with dying hair! my hair is a mousy brown color - so all that it really dyed honestly was my blond highlights- those came out an Anne of Green Gables red/orange color but faded some within the first wash. Great for temporary fun experiments.

I bought this because I have naturally dirty blonde hair, and during the summertime The sun mixed with chlorine will basically bleach parts of my hair. I didn’t really care for the blonde parts so I wanted a mask to try to cover it up. It did exactly that. The color was actually really nice and I did enjoy the results however, we have a white tile which is porcelain and a quartz sill plate, which runs the entire outline of the shower. When I went to remove the product, I did it almost into the drain because I didn’t want to have a huge mess. However, obviously some of it did splatter and the brown got onto the tile as well as the quartz. The tile and grout cleaned up very easily but this dye stayed in the quartz. I am on day four of trying to get it out and it does look like I will be successful. However, the amount of effort I had to put into cleaning isn’t worth the pay off. would not re-purchase however, if there is a clear version of this gloss, I would just because it did make my hair feel very very nice.

This mask is super moisturizing and makes my hair so soft and manageable. However, as far as color depositing goes I’d give it 3/5. If I use it every time I wash my hair it works. Right now so have three different colors in my hair and use Hibiscus, turquoise, and lavender so it’s absolutely perfect to use weekly and keep that great color separation and avoid pricy salon touch ups- I’m 8 weeks out and my hair still looks perfect thanks to this product. BUT, if you’re used to the color depositing punch of a product like Viral and not using it every single wash (or if you wash your hair more than weekly) this may really disappoint you. I also leave it on twice as long as suggested- the turquoise doesn’t require it but the hibiscus looked orange on my faded pink/blonde after 5-7min and needed 15min for full color deposit on my hair.

Liked that I could use after coloring with L'Oreal hicolor red and the bourdeox mask brings out the color more. I was nervous at first, but I used it like instructed (hair mask) and my hair feels so soft and shiny. Helped my dried out ends. I also like that it was not messy. Easy to clean up and does not drip all over the place. I actually ordered again. I was hoping to get the regular size in bourdeox, but I had to go with the small sample size. I just purchased a few. Hopefully they will have my color in the regular size eventually. I will continue to purchase these masks since I color my hair quite often, red.

I used a combination of bordeaux and rose gold together. I wanted my medium brown base to be redness and my highlights to be the rose gold color. I am very pleased with the results. It is a little more time consuming on the day you wash your hair (ladies, we all dread that day); as you have to wash your hair, towel dry then apply the product evenly and wait 7 minutes (I left it on for ten) and then get back in the shower and rinse it out. However, with all this being said, it’s totally worth it for a quick transformation.
