I ordered 10 packages to fence off 100' of flower beds and an herb garden. I have an exuberant Labrador puppy (now 7-1/2 months old) who still refuses to stay out of these areas where she can gather twigs and small stones. The shipment arrived today and I started by fencing off the herb garden. She can still stick her nose through a few inches, but so far it's working to keep her from walking in and rooting around. I guess if there was something really tasty in there she could bulldoze this over, but she hasn't tried. This fence is really easy to put up, and hopefully it will last through several winters of snowfall until my pup matures into an adult. I plan to use stakes to better support it in another area, but even that is no big deal -- I'll just attach the fencing with zip ties. I'm really glad I found this, and at such a great price. Now I don't have to worry about my dog eating stuff outdoors that might be harmful. She can run around loose while we play and when she heads off to find something she shouldn't have, she won't be able to get to it. Don't expect this fencing to be super strong, as it can easily be bent, but it creates the barrier I really needed for my dog. It looks very nice, too! ... show more

    • Inexpensive solution to border fencing

This product is made of a sturdy material. The diameter is thick enough so that it won't easily twist and break. Easy to install and it can easily be turned in different directions to follow the border of our garden. We initially got it to border off the strawberry garden from our Pug. He likes to eat them off the vine but his big feet would trample the plants. It took about a week for him to figure out how to slip through one of the sections that has a larger square opening (about 6" x 6".) We solved that problem buy purchasing a strong ball of green twine for $1.48 and laced it through the middle of each of those sections, knotting securely. Now we can all enjoy those strawberries the rest of the season! Another plus is that it is easy to slip a hand through to harvest/weed or simply step over when needed. We found similar products at the big box stores that were higher priced and made of a very thin diameter metal rendering them quite flimsy. ... show more

My fencing came today and it is just as I expected except for one segment being 2.5 feet shorter! I ordered two fences to go around a flower bed. On opening the box I found that one of the two fences had a torn label and was missing part of the length. What is odd is that the plastic tie was not damaged nor was the box damaged. I attempted to contact the vendor Origin Point but the link on the page at Amazon directs me to Black and Decker. ( I know, whaaaaaat?) I don't want to return it so that button is not useful. It will work for me as I only ordered two fences because one was too short for the area. But I am confused why the manufacturer's people did not notice this, nor the Amazon Warehouse crew filling my order as the damage shows very clearly next to a complete fence. ... show more

The fence is not as sturdy as I would have expected. Super easy to bend which is not ideal. Using it to mark off an area that we don't want to have mowed because of small plants that aren't easy to see when they first come up and it serves the purpose, but is already bent and misshapen from being bumped with feet, the mower, etc so it doesn't look very nice any longer. If you're putting it somewhere that it won't be knocked around or run into by people or pets, then it should like nice longer. ... show more

I love this type of garden fence, but it's hard to find locally. The price was right and it's more durable than I was expecting, which is a huge plus! I needed 60 feet of this stuff, so it had to be affordable. It's the right height to keep my dogs out of my flower beds and is very easy to set up. I just watered the ground well first to loosen up the soil and the fence set in place nicely. (I live in Texas and the ground can tend to be a bit "difficult" to work with, which is why I watered the area first.) I am very pleased with this fence and will probably order more. ... show more
