You sit in the chairs and hit the table with your lap. Called customer service to return and was going to cost $200 restocking fee. I asked for parts to at least alter or modify the table so it would be useful to us, they wouldn’t. They gave me a percentage off but it’s bothersome to pay such a high price for something that is not worth it. So this paragraph is an update and a picture is attached to show. We had to buy some leg extenders and paint them to add to the table because you could not get into the chair without hitting the table. Also, another thing that I have noticed is the laminate or whatever it is possibly a sticker is what it looks like is peeling off of the legs of the chairs. Don’t waste your money on this table and chairs. There is other good furniture out there somewhere but this piece is not it.
