Purchased bc solid wood and under $300. Fairly easy to assemble. Sturdy but mostly the dog sleeps on it as it serves as a bench in our large dressing room. Small grandchildren will sleep on, as well. Some matching wood caps/plugs to hide bolt on sides are needed and should have been supplied.

Very solid and attractive. I put the head board on backwards, exposing the nut holes. It’s negligible, so not sure I’ll break it down and correct it. I’m putting the whole house together with boxed furniture. Maybe when I’m done, I’ll go back and fix it.

I'll be having my son-in-law to put it together so I can't speak to its sturdiness as yet. I did unpack it and so far so good. The bed parts are heavy and I do hope the slats hold up. For the price, I think it will prove to be a good buy.

The side rails are attached to the headboard and footboard with two screws, two mounting plates and two nuts in each corner. They are very difficult to put on. Therefore it is difficult to take apart to move the bed. It would have been much better if they attached in the more conventional way with hooked rails.
