The POSSHE MOON LAMP PROJECTOR NIGHT LIGHT is really cute. I love specialty and unusual types of lights. I had not seen one like this before. It projects a realistic full moon image out of the back side onto the flat surface of a wall behind it. It is a nice addition to the soft, white, soothing lights that come from inside the lighthouse itself. It creates a warm, ambient look in any room you put it in. I think kids would love it as a night light, but I think adults will be fond of it too. I certainly am. It doesn’t look childish or cheap; it just looks cool. Mine came with a remote control that allows me to dim or brighten the light by stepping it up or down. The moon can also be turned off while the light stays on. It also has a timer option for parents that don't want to leave it on all night and kids who don't want to go to sleep without a light on. It's plastic, but it's still nice-looking, even when it's not turned on. It seems to be well-made. The remote doesn't have very much range, so you can't sit in bed and turn it off from across the room, which is kind of the point of the remote control, I would think. But you have to be right up next to the lighthouse for the remote to work. The lighthouse is rechargeable and comes with an included USB cord. The remote takes a button-type battery, which also comes with it. If I needed a gift for a child, I wouldn't hesitate to give them this. It's a practical gift, which may make the parents happy as well. I think the current price is fair. I would probably be willing to pay even a few dollars more for it. It’s very nice. ... show more

I also like that it is rechargeable because I am able to put it on a small shelf above our toilet without having to plug it in. That being said the projector quality is meh. I was impressed right away with the quality of this night light. It has a white finish and the lighthouse is capped with a very realistic copper color. The main feature of this light of course is the VERY good projection of the surface of the moon from the backside of the lighthouse as the lighthouse tower itself glows a soothing white. The usability of this rechargeable light goes up quite a bit because the remote control has both a 10 and a 30-minute timer function to help your child fall asleep and then turn itself off to conserve battery.
