Good dinner plate sets are hard to come by, I am by no means wealthy but I like simple, decent quality place settings and flatware. From a quick search of four-place settings on Kohl’s and Macys I found a range from really cheap all the way up to $1,000+. I currently have a set of Gibson dinnerware that I got from Macys on a fire sale that we’ve been using for over 30 years (I can’t remember the price but something like $100 for 8 place settings). So I’ve been looking for a decent “every day” set at a bargain price for quite some time. In my recent searches I find most of the “under $40” four-place sets to be almost considered disposable due to such low quality. In the $50-100 range there are some good options, though not perfect in quality. This MONITO Ceramic Dinnerware 12 Pieces Dinner Set (four place settings) is of good quality and I find a great value at the $64.99 price. The packaging is excellent, none of the pieces were damaged during shipping from China. There are a few flaws in the finishing on the faces, no chips or imperfections on the edges. For the $50-100 price range, this is kind of expected, you are not paying for perfection at this price point. I would be writing a bad review if I purchased this set in the $100+ price level. The shape of the plates and bowls is a little different, but I find it appealing. The higher edges of the plates make these ideal for stews or pasta dishes with a lot of sauce, especially if you pile on the food. The bowls are not huge, but more than enough for a single serving of soup or chili. Overall, I like the feel and look of this MONITO Ceramic Dinnerware set and think it is a good value.

This 12-piece ceramic dinnerware set is stunning. The dishes have a nice weight to them, which is a good sign of durability—lightweight plates often feel cheap and flimsy, but these feel solid and well-made. At first, I was a little nervous about the "steak plate" because the photos made it look oversized, but that wasn’t the case. In fact, when I placed it over one of my older plates, I realized it actually has a slightly smaller diameter. It turned out to be the perfect size for meals like eggs in a basket with turkey bacon or a calzone with fries. One thing I did notice is the heat retention. My previous plates never felt too hot to the touch, but these transferred more heat when carrying hot food, which I find surprising. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to keep in mind. I like the raised edges on the plates—my son pointed out that they help keep sauces from spilling over, and I have to agree. The bowls are just as impressive. The vertical line design adds a stylish touch, and the size is perfect for everyday use. Overall, the set looks even better in person than it did online. The color fits beautifully with my colorful kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with this set.

This dinnerware set is beautiful! I love the feel of the stoneware, and the finish/glazing is beautiful as well. The plates all have a bit of a lip around the edges which keep food on the plate (which isn't an issue we've had in our house) and it adds a unique look to the dishes. I actually prefer these over my matte black ceramic dishes. One thing I am concerned about with the lips is potential chipping over time, but as it stand, we haven't had a single issue in the month I have been using them. I definitely recommend these and I will be looking at more in other colors. Great dishes!

The media could not be loaded. Okay this is a REALLY cute set. And they stack really nicely. But... there's a few things I'd change. The bowls hold 2.5 cups! That's 625ml of water! Which is WAY too big for any meal I eat. I wish this set came with a 1.5 cup (375ml) size. The other thing about the bowls is the 90⁰angle is a little tricky to eat with. Like it's hard to scrape the edges when I'm eating my overnight oats or a yogurt parfait. I wish the bowl was 90⁰ on the outside, but a bit rounder on the inside edges. The bigger plate is also MASSIVE. Like I honestly just keep all 4 of them in the box cause I really don't need a plate that big for anything. The smaller plate is PERFECT 🤩 I love the 90⁰ side edge. It make it easier to scoop or pick up food my using the side (instead of using a knife like a proper person... but I'm energy efficient so I hardly ever use a knife 😆) I use the small plate DAILY. It washes in the dishwasher and by hand SO beautifully. So seeing how I don't even use the bigger plates at all, I wish this set came with two sizes of bowls, and just the 1 size of small plates. That would make it absolutely perfect.

This is an absolutely beautiful ceramic dinnerware set. The color is very neutral and it goes perfectly with my kitchen decor. The plates have a rim around the edge to help keep food on the plate where it belongs. The bowl is just big enough for a few ladles full of soup. The set includes four bowls, four small plates, and four large dinner plates. The ridges around the edge make them easy to hold, so I don't drop them as often. This is a beautiful, high quality set and I would highly recommend it.

Wife loves these plates! Having the high edge is so much batter then the traditional plates. When serving anything like curry, spaghetti, etc the food stays on the plates so much better. If you have younger ones in the house this is even better for keeping the plate. The finish is very nice glossy and smooth. The bowls are a little odd as the tight inside corner and straight walls make the corners a little harder for a spoon, but not really and issue. Thinking about getting another set to have a serving for 8.

The product themselves function as you would expect from a large dinner plate, a smaller salad plate and coordinating bowl. The only problem I have is the glaze or painting. It really does look like a child painted it.
