    • OK, BUT.......
Functionally OK, not perfect in my opinion. Most fly reels sold today are large arbor reels. Bearing that in mind you will want to order at least 1 size up......per many of the reviews posted here. (Especially the lower score reviews.) I have a couple of Waterwoks-Lamson reels, a Remix and a Liquid which are pretty much the same size and both are 5 wt reels. Per other reviews here I ordered a size up which in this case is the largest offered, a 7/8 wt. The reels fit into the pouch of the case fine but when using with the rod attached the flap/cover has to really be stretched to get the opposing velcro patches that secure the cover closed to line up with each other. To work better the velcro patches should either be relocated so they are easy to mate up, or the flap/cover should be longer. The material it is made with is thinner than other reel cases I have (Waterworks-Lamson) but the protection it offers is probably sufficient for my needs and at 10 bucks a piece vs 15 I am going to keep them. ... show more

This fits a new 3/4wt reel mounted on a very old lite weight rod that I learned on. Fits over the rod just fine. Grandson is going to love it and this will help protect this reel . A little bit larger than I’d like. However, I bought it for a 7wt reel, and it is intended for 7 or 8 weight reels. Fabric quality is great, feels like it will offer sufficient protection for years.

I have 5 of these cases for reels ranging from 4wt to 7wt. They fit the reel while it is still in the rod. Great if you travel with your rod setup in your vehicle.
