    • Is this what a cloud feels like?

No marks, No stains, No "funny smells" I have seen reviews with stains, smells, tears, etc. I experienced a wonderful product, wrapped SUPER tight, and the "funny smell", well new product smell? is all I smelt. Although I was weary thinking this thing may smell after reading some comments, IT DOES NOT! So it has been 36 hours since the arrival of my mattress. Unboxing was a breeze (and I liked they included a letter opener to not damage the mattress with a knife) I rolled it out and let it start its thing. I read a review where someone got theirs to fully expand in 13 hours? I believe, and that was my goal. I put a fan facing the mattress, opened a window, and let it go. 5 hours passed and I was surprised to see it looked almost fully expanded I was ecstatic, and ready to feel this thing, but I waited. About 10 hours passed and I was getting tired, the wife was already sleeping on the couch, I checked on the mattress and it didn't look like much had changed since the 5 hour mark, but I said I don't even care I laid on it... just to feel it, and next thing I know my wife's waking me up in the morning asking why am I sleeping on this before it's ready. Oh yeah I did it and it was SOOOO comfy xD. So now as a write this, I still don't believe it is fully expanded (36 hours), it's almost there but there is still a little sag to the container or what ever we call it. Although I don't know if it's supposed to be tight or not once fully expanded (seems like it would be). But that will not detour me from writing to let you know this is a GREAT mattress, not too cheap, yet not too pricey, and the MOST comfortable bed I have ever slept in, being not too firm, yet not too soft, and conforms to your body like a glove, you really don't even need a pillow for this unless your propping up. I am going to restrain from sleeping in this again until it has been its complete 72 hours or what ever it said, but I can tell you if you purchase this, you will not regret it. ... show more

It's firm. It doesn't expand to 14 inches, only 13. I don't hate it but I don't love it. Will come back and edit in a few days. Not terrible for the price. In a pinch, great. If you can afford to spend a couple hundred more, probably do that. Edit: the bed is very supportive even with a topper. Would suggest using a topper for sure. At this price point, I like it a lot. My back no longer hurts but I am still adjusting to the firmness. I still suggest spending the extra hundred or so if you can. If you already have a topper *and* you buy the mattress with a coupon like we did, it's a great buy. ... show more

OMG. In a word, amazing. Our old Beauty Rest mattress finally gave up the ghost. My wife and I were at odds as to how to replace it. She wanted to go to a brick and mortar mattress store while I shuttered the thought of it. Nothing worse than shopping for a new car or shopping for a mattress. We agreed to try to buy one via Amazon based on its return policy and convenience of delivery. We ordered the mattress on Amazon's big deal day. It was discounted about 25% and seemed to be good value for money. Shipping was delayed for unknown reasons (repeated status every day made me think is was stuck/lost somewhere in a corner of Amazon's Sumner, WA Fulfillment Center). It required a couple of calls to Amazon customer support to shack it lose, but it finally did arrive about a 7-10 days late. Once received, we opened it an let it "inflate" for a couple of days. On the 3rd day, we put it to use. Initially, it was quite firm and I was nervous we wouldn't like it. However, after a couple of nights of getting use to it, I have to say "we love it". We sleep longer, wake up to no body aches, and my wife claims it is keeping her cooler than our old mattress. I do very little tossing or turning now, and when I do, it is not disruptive to my spouse. This is the second time I have bought an oversized item via Amazon and neither time did the product arrive on time. I highly recommend this mattress, but expect it to show up late. ... show more
