I bought for our semi annual trips to the windy side of Maui, and it held up beautifully. Add sand to the supports on the side. All the other shades/ umbrellas were collapsing. Not so big that we are hogging the beach, strong, and adjustable heights. Couldn't use the shadescreen as it was too windy, but we love it! The covered area is spacious enough that we can place two low chairs inside, store a cooler and a couple of bags out of the direct sunlight, and yet have a clear location where the children can relax, eat, or play with sand toys without having to compete with one another for space. The shade footprint seems to be a genuine base camp, which is just what I was looking for in order to enjoy longer days at the beach. The process of setting up is not tough, but it does reward a calm stance. When I attempted it for the first time, I was in a hurry, and as a result, I came up with an asymmetrical form that allowed sunlight to enter from one corner. During the subsequent journey, I gave myself an additional minute to ensure that the corners were equally spaced and that the canopy was tightened up as it should have been. After using it a few times, I am able to make it ready in a short amount of time while still paying attention to the location. The process of taking it down has been just as straightforward, and provided that you brush off any sand before folding it, it packs away without any inconvenience. It wasn't until I had the side wall that I realized how much benefit it would bring to my home. Shade is easier to find throughout the middle of the day, but the sun is at its lowest in the morning and late afternoon, when it is able to creep beneath most shelters. Now that the wall is in place, we are able to tilt the cabana in such a way that the shaded area remains functional for a longer period of time. This is particularly helpful when the sun is coming from the side, which would otherwise cause everyone to start squinting and moving away. Additionally, it offers a more comfortable nook that may be used for prompt changes of attire or for a youngster who needs a quiet respite from the activity that is going on around us.

This beach cabana worked well for a full day by the water and provided a comfortable shaded area without feeling stuffy. Setup was straightforward and didn’t require extra hands once I got the hang of the pole placement. The canopy creates a wide shaded space that easily fits several chairs and a cooler, making it practical for group use. I liked having the removable side wall since it helped block direct sun when needed while still allowing airflow through the mesh sections. The fabric feels sturdy and held up well under sun exposure without heating up too much underneath. Once secured with sand and anchors, it stayed stable even with steady wind coming off the water. Adjusting the height was simple and made it easier to reposition as the sun shifted. Packing it back into the storage bag was manageable and didn’t feel like a wrestling match. I purchased this 8'×8' beach cabana for family beach trips, and it has quickly become one of our most used outdoor items. The size is generous and easily fits several chairs, a cooler, and beach bags without feeling cramped. Setup was much easier than expected, even the first time. The adjustable height feature is helpful for adapting to different sun angles throughout the day. The UPF 50+ fabric provides excellent sun protection. We spent several hours under the canopy, and the shade stayed consistent without letting harsh sunlight through. The side wall is a great addition, especially when the sun is low or when extra privacy is needed. It also helped block wind coming off the water, making the space more comfortable for both adults and kids.

It gives you over 64 square feet of shade. The fabric has a silver UPF 50+ coating that blocks over 98% of UV rays, so you’re well-protected from the sun. It’s not just a tarp. The side walls have breathable mesh panels that let air flow through, taking the heat out so it doesn’t get stuffy inside. It has a smart triangular design and top vent to reduce wind pressure. You can anchor it really well: screw the poles into the sand, fill the built-in sandbags, and use the included heavy-duty stakes. The height is adjustable from about 6.5 to 9 feet, and you can easily attach or remove the side walls. It’s not in the shape of a square. It’s more like an umbrella. The wind was blowing it around everywhere, even with the sand bags filled up and stretched straight. Was miserable at the beach constantly worrying about the cabana instead of relaxing. Returned the next day.
