I was honestly shocked at how great these "toy" walkie talkies work. They are well built to hold up to a lot of abuse from kids. My grandkids already tested that out and so far so good. They are simple to use. The sound quality is very clear, even at a great distance. We tried them from one side of a field to another and the sound was perfect. The built-in flashlight is an added bonus. The grandkids love that. These are rechargeable and come with two charging cables. Also two lanyard type straps that are too big for the wrist but in my opinion a little too tight for a kid to wear them around the neck. Also, the material is a very thin rubber type material that seems like it might snap pretty easily. I will probably change these out for something a little more sturdy and suitable for a toddler to use for carrying these around. In the instructions it says not to get the antenna closer than 2 inches to your face. I don't know if this is for health reasons or because it might cause interference with your signal. Maybe both. But I had to teach my toddlers to not put the walkie talkie up to their ear like they see people do with their phones. These have many adjustments you can make and settings you can put them on. You'll have to read up on the instructions to be able to teach your kids how to use these effectively. All in all these are really great. The price doesn't seem too terrible because these are such a great quality item.

I got these walkie talkies for my kids, and they've been obsessed ever since. Their favorite game now is playing cops and robbers, one hides while the other gives directions through the walkie talkie. The sound is clear, the range is great, and it makes their pretend play feel so real. Setup was easy, just charge, turn on, and go. The rechargeable batteries last a long time, and the 22 channels mean they can have their own" private line." The buttons are big enough for little hands, and even my youngest can use them easily. This walkie-talkie is very well-built and has shown no damage even after being dropped. The battery also lasts a long time. I gave it to my 3-year-old daughter, and we use it during our evening walks—sometimes I take one, sometimes my son, and we enjoy communicating with her. It is light and easy to carry, and the frequency is excellent, with clear sound transmission. There are plenty of channels to choose from, although accidental button presses can sometimes change the channel. It would be great if the design made it a little harder to switch channels to prevent this. I also love the variety of call tones, and the best feature is definitely the built-in flashlight. We’re looking forward to using it on our next hiking and camping trips.

My son’s room is upstairs and mine is downstairs, and it used to be hard to get his attention in the morning. Now with these walkie talkies, I can talk to him right away without shouting. The sound is clear on both ends and there is no delay, even when we are on different floors. It feels great to start the day without yelling up the stairs.
