Used in my sage green based bedroom. I was afraid the colors would be too orange due to some of the photos that were posted. They weren't. A nice rust brown and soft green. I love it. Used with a 3/8 inch rug pad. It's plenty thick and insulating.

The rug seems very nice, thick, soft and lays flat. I also went with the thicker pad option and it's keeping it in place. I've had it a few weeks and so far see no problems with the rug. We had one hairball incident that cleaned up easily. The rug is listed as child/pet friendly and from what I see it's just that. A few cats have kneaded it fairly vigorously and haven't yet created any pulls so I think it will hold up. My one complaint ( is not with the rug ) but with the "woefully inadequate" packaging. The rug was shipped via USPS rolled inside a sealed plastic bag. The bag is a great idea to protect the rug from moisture...but it should also be inside a box! I found the rug had been delivered and leaned against my back door ( which thankfully has a roof over it ). The plastic bag had some long tears at one end and a gouge that went into the rugs backing. So five stars for the product...minus one star for poor packaging. ... show more

I love the colors. Rich warm tones. Some online pictures of this same patterned rug from other places were odd colored and I was worried it would arrive in those odd colors but it didn't. Rich rust, brown, burnt orange, muted gray and blues. I love it. Matches one of the cats, too. I did buy a rug pad and so it is cushioned and feels great to walk on. It does not have a microfiber lush soft feel to it but it is a dense soft bristle...hard to describe that. It's nice to walk on barefoot... ... show more

I've had many area rugs over the years, including a number of Mohawk Rugs. I was searching for a new area one to match our decor & new paint colors. I took a chance on this Mohawk Townhouse rug due to all the glowing reviews from a brand name that I trust. I understand how may people would like this rug - the design & colors are contemporary. However, I am unimpressed with the quality for the money. The colors in the image are correct for the the colors in the area rug, which is not often the case online. However, the quality of this item is nearly bottom of the barrel as far as I am concerned. It is poorly made with ill-finished edges, a backing that peels, and fibers that come up with vacuuming. I've had Mohawk carpets last 10 years. I can't imagine this one lasting 10 months. My husband likes the colors and design, which matters, so we will keep it until something better comes along. Return shipping on this item is about 20 bucks, which seemed excessive to me given the return warehouse is about 100 miles away. I ordered 2 Mohawk Townhouse rugs and the second one was returned at no cost to me because it was clearly defective. With the peeling backing and frayed edges, I could have claimed this one was defective as well but I didn't. However, I can say that I would not have purchased this item had I been able to physically examine it before purchase. BTW, at this price point, I've received some excellent rugs from Home Dynamix and Safavieh sold here (and sometimes priced even better elsewhere). I will be sticking with those brands, which I bought for considerably less than this Mohawk Townhouse. Those brands look like considerably more than I paid. In contrast, this Mohawk Townhouse rug looks like considerably less than I paid. ... show more
