This coat is insanely warm! I had put on weight and needed a new winter coat to take my dogs out. I wanted something long for the 20 degree mornings. And not something super $$$. This fit the bill! I got a lot of compliments when I would wear into grocery store. I had a maybe 5 year old girl tell me I looked lile princess. I love the optional buttons on side. I didn't feel like stuck in a sleeping bag when needing room to allow for a longer stride. Amazon recommended medium. I ordered that and a large. Large was the winner as it fit better through my hips. I have since lost weight and when winter rolls around again will definitely be repurchasing it & donating the large to a dedicated women's shelter.

Most coats in this price range do not have a fuzzy hood. If you've been in cold- cold. You know you need a fuzzy hood. Full fur trim would be ideal but you need to jump your budget to get that. Edit: it DOES zip both ways! So my legs can be free and my top zipped. This makes it even better because if I'm too warm I can cool down with this feature and still have a warm torso The pockets are nice. I tried a different brand and the pockets were scratchy especially on dry hands. No good. These pockets are just like the outside of the coat. So that's fine. I waffled between large and xL forever. I finally went xl. It fits enough that I can wear a sweater and my elbows are still comfortable. That's a necessity for me. It is over all big. A large probably would fit *perfect* but i plan on a couple babies in the next few years so I like the space to grow. I'm 5'7" and 180lbs right now. I went for a midnight walk in Wisconsin weather. When we got back everyone else was " warming up". Meanwhile I had been sweating and went back out in my shirtsleeves to cool down. It's TOASTY. I love the hood too. I can grab my coat and only my coat and go out and I am literally warm head to toe. Well okay I need shoes. But when your whole body is warm even your feet stay warmer. If you're working with your hands bring gloves. But this coat covers head, neck, torso, legs, keeping them soo toasty. No wind gets through. The 3 things I'd change are 1. A zipper that goes up and down so you could have your torso zipped without your legs. 2. A drawstring for the waist. A mitten minder can sinch you in a pinch though. 3. Little catches for the hood so it would stay tight without needing to actually tie them together. Those are minor and picky though so it is still a 5 * from me! It was a gift off my wish list and I've thanked my husband almost every time I've worn it. I even wore it around the house when I was under the weather and felt chilly. It's like a walking blanket. I'm almost tempted to finally donate my insanely thick, insanely warm coat I keep on hand for those rare -20* days when I need to go out. I think this one would suffice! And yet, this one isn't bulky and thick. I don't know how that works. Maybe because it covers so much. That probably makes a big difference. No more cold booty and thigh fat for me! Woohoo! Tested in Wisconsin over new years in temps from 0-20* F

Absolutely love this coat. I got it in pick first. It’s warm and the length is perfect. It isn’t heavy and the pockets are deep. The snaps and the zipper work very well. The inside fur feels great. It’s also machine washable. You do not need to wear an extra sweater it’s very warm, Love it.

Where it’s always 10° cooler than the actual temperature, and let me tell you this jacket got me through the winter. I’ve had Uniqlo jackets that were supposed to be warmer than this one! Nope!

I like the warmth and the length, it hits right at my shins. But not the weird odor that I can't get out or the pocket size and placement. For reference I'm 5'3 and 175 lbs. I ordered the large and it fits good it's just a little small around my chest. I am a 40g chest, so I just have enough room up top for a fleece top. It seems to be water resistant, but it came with a weird funky smell that I tried to air out but that didn't work so I sprayer it with fabric refresher but that dried up and left white spots(but the spray was repelled, ie the water resistance and the white spots) and didn't do anything for the odor, which then made me look at the wash instructions. That worries me very much because it says DO NOT DRY and DO NOT DRYCLEAN. So now I'm left wondering if it'll mildew while trying to get it to air dry? So I took a star off of that. Also while there are ample pockets they're not wide or deep enough. Especially the upper ones that hit right where my breasts are at and the lower ones that slip in from the sides, when you sit down your stuff falls out the sides because they're not deep enough, so I tried to use the top entrance of the lower pockets with the snap... Which works fine if you're standing up, but obviously doesn't work when you're sitting down unless you're really skinny and your coat is big and loose. I don't like to be swimming in my clothes, like if I'd gotten a size bigger I felt like I'd be wearing a sleeping bag around ya know 🤣. I almost want to take another star off for the pockets, but I do like the hood and that you can take off the fur and the whole hood and that it has strings to tighten it so I guess I will add that 2nd star back for that. 🤣 I also like the width at the bottom. I didn't even have to unsnap the buttons to have enough stride and was fine sitting in my car which I thought would be a problem although I did need to lower my seat a bit to make room for the thickness of the coat. So I will update this review after I've tried to to wash it.
