Warm and soft inside. The wind protection is okay. The zipper took some getting used to since I normally wear the normal torso sized coat but its good for my thighs and keeps those warm. Finding things on line that actually fit is really hard. I had returned a jacket from a different manufacturer that going by the size chart, was so big three people could have fit in it! I took a chance on this one and if it didn't work out, was destined to go shopping. I hate shopping! It arrived overnight and what a surprise! Their chart said to order a small. I opted to size up based on user reviews and to make sure there was enough chest room. It fit perfect! Plenty of room for a sweater underneath but not so big I was swimming in it. I ordered the brown which is a lighter brown with a rust tone, a very pretty color! I immediately took the fur off the hood, I am not a fur person. Fortunately on this jacket, removing just the fur IS an option! The fur is nice don't get me wrong, I just don't like fur on my clothing. The hood also removes. The one thing that I don't particularly like is the neck. It is like a loose turtle neck and goes to my chin. Not a deal breaker at all and it appears I can bend it back if I don't zip it all the way up. I'm sure I will appreciate the neck more once winter hits and the cold eastern Washington inner mountain wind starts. I am 5'3" and it comes just below the butt, perfect length. The cuffs on the arms can help if the arm length is too long, the arm length is perfect for me. It fits well on the first belt snap in back, if you are thin waisted (not me) it adjusts about an inch or inch and a half more. According to the directions you can wash it but not dry it in the dryer. It is a tiny bit wrinkled. If it doesn't unwrinkle, I may try a very cool iron but, it's not so wrinkled it's unwearable as is. The outside is like windbreaker material, the inside has a very cozy fur type lining halfway. The bottom half is like quilted or filled, as is the lining on the arms.. It is light but cozy. I'm not sure about the zipper. It is plastic and may be fine but if it happens to break, the snaps are substantial enough to keep it closed and wind proof. I highly recommend this for the style, fit and price! ... show more

I wouldn't order a coat in tan if it hadn't been only $50 because I so often walk where I need to be seen for safety so any color not seen in nature is best for me. Having said that, this is an attractive coat which seems as if it will be warm. I will try that part Saturday when our temps will hover around 0 (F). I usually wear a heavy sweater underneath, and it felt a little snug because of that. I bought a medium, ad I am 5'2" and weigh 118. Depending on how many layers you want, you might want to size up. There is a nice interior pocket big enough for a phone. I did wonder. It said in the Amazon ad that it is a down coat. IT IS NOT. I had wondered how it could be down at that price. Be warned. It is a very nice coat and should be sold properly advertised. That is the only reason I took a star off. ... show more

Great coat. I am 5’8” tall, 140 pounds. Warm. Very attractive, dark blue. Love the zipper PLUS all the snaps. Size MEDIUM is perfect fit for me without a sweater. Slightly snug at waist with a sweater BUT that is easily addressed with the back waist tabs on each side. There are 2 snaps to adjust waist as needed. I only needed one snap. Sleeves might be a bit too long IF there were no stretch cuffs at the wrist, Lovely hood with soft fur edge and I can pull it over a hat. Neck snaps.
