I have tried retracting completely down hoping it would self correct, but it still hangs down slightly. Update real quick. Replaced an existing kitchen sink faucet with this one. Very easy to install and the included tool to tighten the main nut worked great. My only complaint is: when you are using the spray, and then turn the faucet off, the selector button flips back to stream. So stream is the default every time you turn it on. On our last faucet, whichever selection you made last was the one it came on with next time. I find that I miss this functionality. We more frequently want spray than stream. Also, the 'boost' setting always turns itself off after each use, which I guess is what you would expect. ... show more

When we were planning our kitchen remodel, the one thing I knew for certain is that I loved this faucet. So, I went ahead and bought it even though we weren't ready to install it because it seemed like a good deal. Fast forward six months, and the kitchen is now done, but the faucet leaks. If I had bought this at Home Depot, I bet they would have taken it back, but because it's from Amazon, it's too late to return it. Amazon just refers me to Moen, and they won't take it back, either. Lesson learned: be careful purchasing products for renovations from Amazon, because if the renovation takes longer than you think, you won't be able to return products. My packaging was very crumpled and missing the plate gasket, faucet head (very important for a faucet, obviously), and installation tool. I called Monday (per their instructions for missing parts). The automated system said they were very busy and asked if I wanted to schedule a call back, which worked perfectly. The worker overnighted me the missing parts for free (as they should). As many others have said, most of the effort was spent on deinstallation of the old faucet. I ended up removing my sink entirely from the cabinet, so my installation of this faucet was dead simple. However, I imagine installing with the sink in place would be almost as easy. (I was able to use a wrench instead of having to use the installation tool.) Operation is as you would expect. I wish the faucet pulled out just a little further, but I can still fill my coffee pot with it sitting on the counter next to the sink, so that's good enough. The positioning of the handle is slightly back from straight up for hot and slightly down from straight forward for cold, which is a little odd to me, but I'm honestly not sure what would be a better option. ... show more

Now that is is so effortless to turn the water off and on and off again, I never realized how much water I had been wasting. The pull down works wonderfully and water shuts off automatically when you bring it back up to resting position. The sensor works great. You just have to get used to avoiding that exact spot if you do not intend to turn the water on or off. For instance, I may be rinsing a larger size pan and then, because I have passed my hand in front of the sensor unintentionally, the water shuts off unexpectedly. Then I usually remember it is easier to rinse it off using the pull down and proceed to do just that. I cannot imagine going back to a standard faucet again. ... show more

Husband just installed this Moen faucet in our remodeled kitchen and it is beautiful. We bought it in the spot resistant stainless and I think that it will hold up and look great for the long haul. We did have some issues installing it ourselves but that was due to our old existing pipes in a manufactured home built 25 years ago. We really like the clean, streamline look to it- we did not use the plate that attaches to the bottom of the faucet so it's literally just the fixture stuck in the hole in our granite- we feel like it might be easier to keep clean and just looker nicer. Glad I chose this even though it cost $$$ a little more than some of the others I considered- hopefully it will be the last kitchen faucet we ever install again. Loved how the longer hoses attached to it allowed extra flexibility. The old faucet had short copper tubs + plastic connectors. This one has braided flex pipe which allowed connecting right to the shutoffs at the base of the cabinet. The head of the faucet is plastic, but looks identical to the metal faucet itself (I couldn't tell from the pictures & thought that may help someone). Moves left to right easily. It also comes with a tool to install which may or may not help to get one's old faucet off (the hardest part). It seems most tool sets have a 5/8 & 11/16 wrench, but not one right in between (21/32) which we needed to remove the old one. We're keeping the tool they provided right in the cabinet just in case it comes loose from the vibration of the garbage disposal at some point. I ordered this faucet after installing 2 other styles and HATING them. The water pressure is amazing. I love the boost feature so I can have a little extra power without using the "spray" function. This one cleans up nicely and seems to be well made. I used a plumber to install so can't comment on the installation. However, this installation was considerably less time than the previous two.
