My husband and I were drooling over a king wall mounted headboard and nightstand set at a fancy household store with the initials C&B. It also came with a bed frame and was priced at over $2800. We wanted it but it wasn't in the budget. Luckily we found this item here on Amazon and while it isn't identical, it gives the same mid century modern vibes and we still had plenty of money left over to get a bed frame AND mattress with several hundred left over vs the retail option we initially saw. For the bed frame we went with a very affordable and extremely high rated option here on Amazon. If you use the keywords 12 inch solid wood platform king bed you will find it. They also have a queen option. It isn't an exact finish match to this Modway Render set in Walnut, but it's close enough and with the bedding you can't see the finish much anyway. Back to this Modway Render item. It's easy to mount and one person can do it but it's a lot easier with two. There are four (4) wall slat panels that each get mounted directly to the wall. Each panel has six (6) wall mounting screws with anchors included. The screws and anchors are good, no need for a trip to the hardware store. The headboard is the four center slat panels and the bedside tables mount to the two side panels. The bedside tables involve assembling a drawer for each - this was the most time consuming - and then they get mounted to another set of wall slat panels using a metal rail that attaches to the wall panel and then the drawer/table unit slide on from the side, preventing the need for an awkward wall mounting experience with the drawers attached. This is a very good design. The drawers are kind of cheap in terms of construction and they aren't soft close, but they have a nice smooth glide and that is what matters most to me because we intend to use this set for many years and don't want to wrestle with drawers. To make it feel nicer and more high end I recommend applying a little bit of sticky felt to where the drawers close so they don't make a smacking noise when they close. We paid extra for professional installation. I don't recommend it because the crew said they were not allowed to drill holes in our wall. This is information that would have been a lot more useful at the time of purchase. I'm putting that here so you can make an informed decision about that. They did assemble the drawers for us, but only after a lot of complaining and whining. This part of the experience is not reflected in our 5 star rating of the product. The product is fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This floating headboard with nightstand’s is AMAZING! The walnut is a little darker than I expected but it’s perfect. I also purchased the black bed frame from Amazon so it was one stop shop. It was easy to install. I did have to lower the headboard on the wall to accommodate the window. With that I also had to install the nightstands differently than the instructions directed. But it all worked out perfectly. (I also bought the brushes gold cone lights on Amazon!). You won’t be disappointed if you buy it now!
