This is a note to people who want something (this heavy) delivered to an address that is challenging..and that it cannot be left in an area to later be moved. We live in a city so you cannot leave things outside for any amount of time. We didn't have any trouble returning this so I can't complain about the sellers. This is about the random shipping companies they have to rely on (not sellers fault). We ended up only getting the base and then having to call and be put on hold over and over again (about 6 hours of phone time plus endless emails) trying to get them to deliver the top. 2 weeks later they delivered top (even though we asked them to send enough guys to do it b/c 2 can't carry it). Shipping company didn't tell us what time they were delivering so we couldn't make any arrangements to have help. We live in a 2nd floor apartment and were told by shipping company that the guys should be able to deliver it. Which we knew wasn't probable. No surprise...it's weighs about 300 Ibs and comes in a wood crate. Moving guys looked at us like we were crazy. We gave up at that point and had it sent back. After all this trouble w/ shipping company I think they should let people know that 2nd floor deliveries are not possible. Also that you need 4 guys to carry it. Not to mention that, if that fragile, very heavy stone is cracked you get to do it all over again. So, I would buy from this seller again...but never this heavy or difficult to carry type furniture. That's the unfortunate part about sellers having to rely on random shipping companies. The one they got for us was no good and extremely difficult to communicate with. ... show more

We got the 60" oval table and it is a great kitchen, nook table. Very sturdy, easy to assemble and it looks great. The big problem I have with this company is the return policy. We first purchased the 48" oval, and it was too small. When I boxed up and went to return through UPS, which is no small feat given the heaviness of the table, they told me it would be $400 to ship back a $650 table. I called the Firstofakind Warehouse to see if they had a carrier they used that would be cheaper, and I even talked to someone to explain. THe cheapest return carrier they offered would cost $380. Needless to say, I'm stuck with a table that doesn't work. Make sure when you order you know the size, as this company makes it impossible for you to return if you get it wrong!! ... show more

Very heavy but easy to assemble with 4 bolts. Sturdy and looks like real marble! The gold base is a little brighter than I hoped but still beautiful. For the price, this table is very nice. There is a slight movement when you grab and wiggle it but not unstable. I was worried about it being damaged when it arrived but it was packed well in a wood frame, box, foam, etc. It does go through two carriers so I was concerned when it said “delivered” and it hadn’t arrived. It did make its way even though they didn’t call to set up appt like it said they would. Overall, happy with the table! ... show more

I purchased the 60" oval table with faux marble top. It really looks like marble and is very heavy and solid, but without marble upkeep and maintenance. No need to buy real marble. (I had beautiful marble kitchen counters and found that marble stains easily, and is easily scarred by acidic foods like tomatoes). You wont know the difference. Bottom pedestal is also very solid. I matched with tulip chairs and it fits my MMC home perfectly. The top is very heavy so you will need 2 strong adults to assemble. Also the screws holding it on were hard to find in the packaging. So just be prepared cannot assemble by yourself. But it was not hard to assemble once I had the top on the pedestal and aligned the screw holes. A 60" table also is not very large, so good for 4 seats basically. But fits perfectly in my place. Overall a good value and classic MMC piece. ... show more

We have a very small dining area in our home but we still need seating for 5-6 people. This oval shaped table fit the bill perfectly! We can all sit around the table without feeling cramped and it doesn't make the kitchen seem crowded. It's also very sturdy and the lack of sharp edges is a great benefit when you have a toddler running around the house. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is how quickly I started seeing tiny scratches on the tabletop. Other than that, we love our table! ... show more
