This is without a doubt the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever purchased or owned. The seat cushions soon lose their shape but my main complaint is the back cushion, or the absence thereof. It's like sitting on a wooden park bench. Even some of my guests have commented on how uncomfortable this sofa is. $1500+ was too much to spend on a sofa that makes my back hurt. Tomorrow I am going shopping for a new sofa and by next weekend this one will be out by the curb.

These chairs look great in our living room. They are not, however, designed to be sat in. The seat is very deep which may work well for those with long legs (6'5" height and up) but for those of us who have never played in the NBA, the seat doesn't work well. I'm 5'11" and I can't sit in the chair with my lower back up against the backrest without my legs sticking straight out. I look silly that way. I have to ignore my mother's admonitions to sit straight if I want to use the backrest. I don't look much better slouching. My only other complaint is that these chairs are as hard as a wood bench without being as comfortable. My guess is that they'll be broken in by December, 2032, if my cat doesn't destroy them sooner. In all fairness though, the fabric seems to be very sturdy (stiff) so the cat may have to work hard. My younger kids seem to like them. Their feet don't reach the ground either so they curl up with a good book and scrunch their knees up under their chins and look as happy as clams. For cushioning they sit on top of a couple of folded blankets to make it tolerable. I heartily recommend these chairs if you have family or neighbors who overstay their welcome. Park their backsides in one of these babies and the visits will be brief. BTW, The three star rating is because my wife likes them ; )

I see in the chair description 'Upholstered Leather'. This is NOT the case - they are upholstered chairs. We had initially purchased a couch in this style but our store was not able to get us matching chairs. A friend of ours saw these chairs on-line and they looked like an exact match to the couch. It was not the same though. The chairs had more of a blue tint and the couch more of a green shade. The upholstery is similar but not the same either. But as you can see in the second photo, it doesn't really matter. The chairs are on the other side of the room and with the light behind the couch, it works. In fact, I think I rather like it. The seat of the chair is very wide - 27 1/2" and can fit 2 normal size adults next to each other. I've put 2 pillows so our guests can sit back and relax in the semi-comfy 23" cushion chair. I do love the look but I would not want to sit in these chairs every day. We purchased them as extra chairs for company.......that won't stay too long. :)

Quite honestly, these chairs have exceeded my expectations! I was worried that the fabric would appear cheap, but it’s a beautiful linen-look...without the wrinkles. I was prepared for the citrus color to be nearly any shade of yellow and was thrilled that the school-bus yellow was exactly what I was secretly hoping for. I knew the cushions would be stiff, but I didn’t want something fluffy and soft. It’s also large enough that there’s plenty of room to curl up with a good book. Adding throw pillows softens it up a bit and fills out some of the extra seating depth. I do wish the cushions were upholstered in a way that they could be flipped, but I suppose you can’t have everything.

The delivery came right as scheduled. The couch and chair were packaged very well in boxes and wrapped up very well underneath. The delivery man helped me get them into my living room. The legs for each piece were in a nice zipped compartment under the couch and chair. Easy to assemble the legs, took about 20 minutes. The fabric is just as pictured. The seats are firm but with time will be worn it a bit. I would recommend these products and would order again. Fast and easy! Thanks for the beautiful furniture! I hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Considering deliveries cannot be made directly inside consumer homes, the cost of large and hard to handle items, like furniture, should be considerably decreased. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, I had to find a way to independently drag this large 2-piece sofa set from my driveway to and through my front door, and into my home. While I understand that we must all adapt to the new normal COVID-19 has brought us, there is no way customers should have to risk injury without (disclaimer and) receiving a relative discount on the product. Concessions should be offered considering less labor is required of trained freight/delivery contractors, and more is expected of the consumer. Furthermore, when a Prime customer, like me, not only has to accept longer delivery times (which is understandable), but has to lift heavy furniture, adjustments are warranted.

OMG!!!! This was my first time ordering furniture online. I have to say I am beyond pleased. Modway furniture is not cheaply built . I was so surprised on how heavy and firm both the chair and ottoman are. I looked at furniture stores in my area and though their prices were comparable to Modway the furniture was way below in quality. I am so very pleased with my mid century chair and ottoman.
