This bed is even more beautiful in person. It came in several boxes and I had it professionally assembled but that's not necessary if you can do it yourself with a simple screw driver and Allen wrench. The quality of the base is so advanced compared to modern bed bases in that the panels come already attached. Very difficult to put together. Instructions are very vague and missing steps. The boards were warped some which made it exceptionally difficult to bracket. It takes two people just because someone has to use lots of strength to pull together. Other than that, the bed is beautiful once finished.
