Description

Thick mat made of natural coco fiber. Constructed of rugged coco fiber that is hand woven, the mat is bound together with a thick coir rope that holds the fibers together. The mat cannot be cut into size since the rope binding that is woven at the edge of the mat holds the fibers intact. The natural feel of coco fiber gives confidence to the horses to step on without fear of tripping as compared to a slick rubber mat. The horses will easily step off the grass and step onto the natural fibers of this mat , This mat can easily be handled to roll and store .

I purchased a new trailer with a ramp and my one horse refused to use it. I had heard about this mat and decided to give it a try. Without any fight, once she had a chance to check it out, she walked right up on the trailer. My other horse would have issues unloading and rushing down the ramp and with this mat she quietly walks down it. I'm am over-the-top happy with this mat. One thing I would recommend is make sure you order a size that will overlap the bottom of the ramp and the top, enough so it stays put. I bought a new trailer with a fairly steep ramp that my horse refused to load in. For weeks she has been fighting me. Last week it took TWO hours to get her to load. Full on rearing up and pulling back etc. I read online that others had good luck with coconut mats and I was so frustrated that i figured if this didnt work i may have to sell the trailer! The mat came quicker than expected and was surprisingly thick. I had nothing to lose so put it on the ramp where it has a little overlap at the top and bottom. Lead my horse up expecting the worst. She sniffed, rubbed her nose on it, and pawed it for a few minutes and it didn't move an inch. then to my surprise she put her 2 front hoofs straight on it and walked into the trailer like it was no big deal!!! I had her load and unload five times and she never hesitated after the first time! I could hardly believe it! Did it again today just to make sure it wasn't some weird fluke. In fact today she basically loaded herself! This mat is a life saver! It stays where you put it and took the abuse my horse gave it the first time. the mat rolls up easily and fits perfectly in the Manger. Highly recommend! ... show more

I bought the wider 4 ft mat and glad I did for the ramp of my trailer. My horse was slipping trying to load especially when the ramp was wet. She fell to her knees once and became scared to load. This mat fixes the problem and she is back to loading so well.
