When you close the door, you will hear a sound. I believe the interior is getting a suction, making the door a tight seal. As you will notice, after the sound of the suction, the door does not open as easy as a refrigerator, but it is still easy enough to open. Has been working great.

DO NOT BUY. Listing originally said freezer was auto defrost. Seller edited out that claim after a bad review on 5/21/25 - but Rufus still says it is auto defrost (most likely Rufus had been asked about auto defrost before seller edited it out, and goes thru previous answers before looking for new info) - IT IS MANUAL DEFROST - NOT AS ADVERTISED. Seller denies any responsibility and refuses to process a return/refund. Having to file a claim with Amazon to resolve the issue. DO NOT BUY EDIT: Seller appears to have removed all mention of auto defrost, but IF you have a problem with the order and need to return it, seller will insist on keeping the $200 shipping fee (and probably insist you pay return shipping) Amazon is giving me a full refund (seller was still refusing) so works out in the end, but i could do without the wasted time and headaches ... show more

I hate being charged an additional $200 for shipping and handling on top of the fridge being $200 and some change. Total of $400+ BUT I do love the fridge. Very convenient having 6 kids to feed. But that shipping and handling price was disgusting

DO NOT BUY!! False advertising. Unit is not frost free as advertised. Has been working one week and coils at top are covered with ice and frost. Condensation at both corners at top. Had to fight for compensation from seller who tried to convince me that this was the same model advertised as frost free—model numbers were completely different!
