This product is absolutely amazing and I can't say enough about the customer service!!! First of all, the product is easy to put together with very specific directions. When finished, it's very sturdy and professional looking. Unfortunately, I recently had some wind damage and I was devastated because it's my favorite spring, summer, and fall hang out spot, T-bone's Tavern. I called the company on a whim not expecting to get much help because that is unfortunately what consumers expect for customer service these days. I was very pleasantly surprised at how responsive and wonderful Modern Shade was to work with. I'm able to replace all the damaged parts with no questions asked. I'm so happy that my patio tavern will be back open for business in a few weeks. You should not hesitate to buy a product from Modern Shade.

Finally built this gazebo yesterday. Don't take all 4 large boxes out. Take it one step at a time. Take a look at the instructions first, they are very detailed and excellent. Take the time to read it from beginning to end a few times, make sure to organize the wooden parts into the end pieces by number, and then lay out all the various hardware so that they are easy to find - this is very helpful. Take your time and make sure every step on every page is correct, so there will be no problems. But I didn't know that I would always install it in the wrong direction after installing it again and again. This is why everyone should be serious about every step, otherwise it will be a waste of time. The installation is simple but you need to pay attention to every detail. The small bar style design and creativity are good. The only problem we encountered was the middle hole for fixing the leg attachment. How to install it is just to increase the support. All in all, door-to-door delivery, packaging of all items, beautiful instructions and super sturdy products.

4-stars because I was missing Parts S & T, which is the electrical box w/door. I contacted Modern Shade and they did send me an electrical box with door. However, the replacement package was missing the the actual electrical plug-in strip that should accompany parts S & T. What I was sent was an useless electrical box that will not/cannot be used b/c, well, the electrical strip was not included in the replacement package.... So, I just decided to procure a similar electrical box on my own instead of going back and forth with Modern Shade.... I do like the overall gazebo kit, however. But I am concerned about the longevity of the thin metal roof. I did decide to modify this kit as per my needs/space concerns. I turned the side shelves inward as opposed to outward as intended. I also decided to sort-of wall off the sides and back about half-way down with cedar boards. I also brought down the front a bit as well. I purchased 40, 3/4in X 4in X 8ft cedar boards, plus a couple of 3/4in X 2in X 8ft cedar boards. I will be using some scrap 2in X 4in lumber to brace this to my fence, which is concreted in place w/metal poles. I did not use all 40 boards. However, I purchased extra because not all boards that come in are ideal for the task, or even usable for that matter, e.g. splits, knots, severely warped, etc. I had about 5 or 6 boards left over, including lots of smaller cuts/scraps leftover available for future projects. I did this because rain was blowing in from all sides originally, despite this thing being next to a fence, shed, carport, etc. Pics show replacement electrical box w/out electrical strip that I received from Modern Shade. Also, a pic of gazebo as installed originally via kit, and then after I modified the sides with cedar planks from the hardware store. The modified paper towel holder is also my contraption. It keeps the paper towels from unraveling in the breeze/wind utilizing a heavy gate/barn door hinge resting on top. The original holder that came with the gazebo was placed under a shelf for use in case it rains. I also installed 1) of the 2) provided twirly thingies for holding implements up top instead of beneath the shelves. Not sure I will install the other one. But if I do it will be up top somewhere. So, all that and LED bulbs inside. I purchased a Mirador power strip/surge protector box, but have yet to receive it/install it. So, I cannot recommend it at this time. Plus, it is rather expensive, too. Would rather have simply received the one I paid for....

We spent a lot of time researching outdoor grill gazebos before finally choosing this one from Modern Shade .It came in 4 separate boxes, just like the listing said. They didn’t all arrive on the same day, so I was a little nervous, but the rest came within the next two days. The company also emailed to let us know that the boxes might come at different times, which I appreciated. Putting it together wasn’t super easy, but it wasn’t terrible either. My husband and I spent a full Saturday building it. The instructions were clear and all the parts were well labeled, which made the process smoother. It’s definitely a two-person job, though. Once it was up .wow. It’s really solid and beautiful. The cedar wood smells amazing and gives it such a warm, high-end look. It feels like we added a whole new room to our backyard. The sloped steel roof is sturdy and handles rain well .we had a light storm last week and no water pooled on top at all. The best part is the built-in features. The front dual bar counters are super useful — we use them for drinks, snacks, and grilling tools. There’s a shelf in the back that we use for condiments and paper plates. The built-in paper towel holder and bottle opener are small details, but so convenient. The power strip with outlets and USB ports is a game-changer — we plug in a speaker, a fan, even charge our phones while hanging out. We also mounted a TV on it (yes, it really has a TV mount!) and now our backyard is the go-to spot for weekend hangouts and game nights. It's become our favorite part of the house, and we’re out there almost every evening now.
