I absolutely love the Modern Shade Horizon Permanent Hardtop Gazebo! The 10' x 12' size is perfect for my patio. The quality of this gazebo is outstanding. We put this gazebo up on our patio a few weeks ago and really love it. It feels sturdy and well-made, the roof gives great shade, lets a little light through, and kept us dry during a couple of light rains. Putting it together took some time but wasn’t too bad; my husband and I worked on it one afternoon and evening, and you’ll want two people for the roof pieces. Now it’s totally changed the look of our backyard — we added a dining set underneath, and it’s become our favorite spot for dinner and weekend coffee, with the mosquito netting keeping bugs out at night.

Our 10 year old 10 x 10 soft-top gazebo didn't survive the winter we had, so we were forced to look for a replacement. After lots of research - comparing delivered prices, reading reviews, and watching videos - we decided on the 10 x 12 Horizon by Modern Shade. It came to us well packed, in three separate boxes (one box was delivered a day before the other two). Each box was approx. 130 pounds, so you will probably need help moving them around. The contents of roof panels box were reinforced with a wood border around the inside, held together with metal corners and support rods. Set aside some time to assemble this. Each box contains an inventory sheet. Go through the box and make sure all your contents are there and not damaged. I suggest laying the parts out according to box near where you will be assembling the gazebo. This process alone took my wife and I about an hour to complete. A couple of tips: 1) take the largest quantity of the bolts and washers off their cardboard backing and put them in labeled plastic cups to make them easier to access quickly. 2) get a battery powered driver/drill and the proper size magnetic Allen bit, or bit socket for those bolts. It will save your wrists (and time) from manually turning the dozens of bolts with the supplied Allen wrenches - they supply two. My wife and I spent the next 2 hours on Saturday beginning assembly. My brother-in-law joined us for about 6 hors on Sunday. So, it took us about 8 hours to assemble with 2 and 3 people. Three people aren't necessary for assembly, but really come in handy when trying to attach the top frame border to the four legs while they are standing upright. The last assembly tip is to leave the roof frame bolts hand tight until you have installed all the roof panels. This will greatly help in being able to line up all the bolt holes for the roof panels. Once they are all installed go back and tighten everything. Once the bug netting and solar lights were installed, we got to enjoy our new, larger gazebo! So far it's great. Keeps the sun off during the hottest part of the day, and the rain off during light showers. The bug netting is a great feature we didn't have with the old gazebo. For the price, we're very happy with the quality and function of this gazebo and wouldn't hesitate to recommend other Modern Shade brand products in the future.

I visited many stores/websites in search of a gazebo for my patio. I found one that was the perfect size for the area where I wanted to place it. It has netting on all four sides and solar lights on each corner post. Perfect! Instructions for assembly were easy to understand and follow. Parts were clearly labeled, as identified in the instructions. I especially am pleased that it is made with quality materials and is weather-proof. I am very pleased with my purchase and have received several compliments from friends on it. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking to purchase a gazebo.

I was quite skeptical purchasing this but after seeing final product, I was in awe. What you see in the advertising picture is exactly how it looks. Comes in 3 boxes. Took my twins an afternoon building it. (Highly recommend teamwork). All the parts were there with instructions. It’s just stunning. The corner solar lights are an added bonus and quite attractive. My son added a solar chandelier that finished it off. It is bolted down to concrete and seems to be very sturdy but we have not had any winds to test strength - will post as soon as I know! Highly recommend from a very satisfied customer.

Wish I bought the bigger one the inside measurements are not 12x14 but 10x12. So it’s kind of misleading. The outside hangs to 12x14. We were trying to go bigger. But this is very sturdy and strong. Holds up well in wind. Rain does get inside easily. And there’s no bug net for the top so they can get in even with the sides zipped. If you don’t mind adding some things this canopy is worth it. The roof is a bit of a pain to get to line up properly even when not tighten all the screws, but the wind rating and the price were really good.
