The media could not be loaded. We received the 60” fireplace in good condition. It was packaged well and arrived undamaged. The video of the flames look very realistic and much better than the rotating reflection style. My only suggestion is to allow for the removal of the heating unit. The heat function can be electronically locked out at the control panel, but can still be activated by the remote. ... show more

Hopefully we get this resolved. My husband opened up the unit to get installed on Monday and I start noticing weird things about the unit. It was shipped with the driftwood and glass INSIDE of the unit, thus scratching the inside screen. The remote looked like it was just thrown in the box. I go to test the unit and the flames don’t work. “USB flash disk path not found” is what you read after the unit turns on. So the LCD screen seems to work but the fire does not seem to be loaded onto my fireplace. For the price we paid…. We should not be having these issues. ... show more

Our unit was professionally installed by our contractor during a remodel. It worked initially, but the flame function is extremely sensitive and unreliable. We have now had this for 7 months, and have literally used it less than 10 times. In the first couple of months, I had to repeatedly reset the unit to get the flames to appear. Now, however, we are at the point where even after 10 reset attempts, the flames will not come back. The MF logos appear briefly, so it looks like the displays are working. But then there's a brief message, "USB flash drive not found", and that is it. So now we are stuck with a $4000+ hot air blower. Will have to contact support now, and hopefully they can help. Ironically, the manufacturer website has, prominently accessible from the top-level menu, a whole separate PDF file explaining the device reset if the flames don't work. I guess there is a message in them actually having to provide this. But seriously, how difficult is it to build something that could essentially be a Raspberry Pi with an LCD screen, such that it actually works reliably and doesn't need a reset on a regular basis? ... show more
