Wow! This kit is a steal ! For the price and the amount of dip colors It has its insane! I do wish that the base, activator and gel top coat were in bigger bottles , and possibly glass instead of plastic but that is ok. So many colors to mix and match ! If you look at my photos I have immediately after application , then 2 weeks growth , then the white and purple are new with the silver blue and pink having 4 or more weeks growth . I have only had a few chip and I took the others off . I have a young child so it takes a lot of time for me to do a set but I still love it . I suggest watching a few tips and videos on how to apply this to get the best results but really this kit comes with so much. Literally everything you need for an amazing set ! I'm gonna have my nails done for so long with this kit. My only complaint is the bond and the base came with some excess that had dried over the edge and I worry that they lost some product during delivery . Also the bottles aren't sturdy so I spilled my activator and lost a bunch. The product is good quality. The amount of colors and shades is insane I have only used 8 colors.. but what freaking kit comes with so many colors!? Ahh im obsessed. So greatful someone recommended this to me. I 100% recomend . Its super easy ! Just be patient . Watch several how to videos snd tips and tricks . I believe anyone can have beautiful salon nails at home with this kit . Soon im goin to try my toe nails and then trying tips on my fingers . I love this nail kit ! I have my nails done all the time ! I will have 3 chil after doing lots of house work and I'll fix them same day

Okay so I am going to let you know the pros and cons I found while using this product. I am a average everyday woman I used to do gel nails at the salon and wanted to save money so i started gel nails at home. The constant UV rays did some damage to my hands which lead me to dip powder. After many reviews searching I tried this kit and these are my thoughts. CONS: The jars are small. This is not an issue for someone like me or others with shorter natural nails but if your nails are long you can't dip your whole nail and the jar is to narrow to tip. The gel base has a strong chemical smell and burns your eyes. This made it a little difficult to lean in close to my nail while applying base coat due to the burning it would cause And that's actually the only 2 things I truly seen as cons now for pros PROS: Although the jars are small the amount in them is great for dipping. One manicure and I barley made a dent in the jar. It will last for SEVERAL dips, especially if you dip at home and only one person is using it I noticed the reviews of lifting. I believe that those people didn't prep their nails. You can't just open the box and start applying. With proper nail prep these nails lasted me 2 weeks to problem. I work in the medical field and I am CONSTANTLY washing my hands and these nails held up until I was ready to change color about 2 weeks later. Follow the instructions! Some people don't notice this kit instructs you to apply activator twice which seems to be skipped by many. The colors are beautiful, yes they will appear darker the more times you dip but that's what happens with anything you apply multiple layers too. More product, darker shades, less product lighter shades. Watch a few YouTube tutorials for tips on how to apply base and buff it helps a lot! Overall I think this a great product for the cost and works very well if you prep your nails and follow the instructions. I plan to buy more colors from them and recommend this to all beginners!

Kit is easy to use, especially if you've been painting your nails for a while. I used the liquids 3 times before I purchased a full set of a brand at Sally's. The kit liquids chipped with a day. Since using the Sally's ones, it's lasting a week. The colors are off on some. I'll update this post as I go.

I really liked the is product it’s easy to use since you get a Han on of it. I have never done my own nails before so I was a little worried but even though it was my first time my nails came out looking pretty good . I will say that pouring the powder over your nails using the trays provided is better than dipping ( at least for me anyway) got less bumps. I did make a mess but it cleans up easily and even though I spilt a lot of powder the little container was almost full. It comes with a lot of different colors so you get a lot for what you pay. The binding and activator bottles and brushes do seem a little cheap but they give you extra brushes and you can always reorder more. Overall I am very happy with this purchase .

Just tried this brand for the first time after previously using the Nailboo brand and here are my thoughts as a newbie learning to do her own nails: Pros: -Easy to use -Good variety of color options -Affordable -Kit comes with everything you need from start to finish -Quick drying process for top coat Cons: -Colors are not as vibrant in person as they look online -Powder comes in really small containers, almost what I would consider a “sample size” and therefore doesn’t give a lot of dipping room. Whereas, Nailboo brand comes in a container 4 times the size, making dipping easier without having to dump the whole container into the dipping tray -I find that the Modeltones base coat tries faster than Nailboo brand making the dipping process feel “panicky” because I have to quickly dip the nails immediately after putting base coat on. Nailboo doesn’t dry as quickly, allowing more time to apply your base more carefully and precisely. -Although I haven’t tried Nailboo top coat to compare to this brand, I find that the Modeltones top coat tends to leave “flashing” on some of the nails, causing dull flat patches. Not sure what caused this or if it’s a user error since I was careful not to bump nails, but even after an additional coat of top coat I still couldn’t correct the flash spots.
