I recommend doing them on natural nails or if you’re going to add tips, shave them down slim so when you dip they don’t turn out too puffy, otherwise the toughness and quality is good. Nail polish doesn’t last a day for me, and I can’t bear to pay salon prices when I can buy a set from Azure Beauty on Amazon for WAY less! I started using these dips about two years ago and I am in love. They last until I’m ready to switch colors and the powder is so fine that I don’t get any bubbles. I did watch some YouTube tutorials and with some trial and error, it’s been smooth sailing ever since. For the reviews that say the top coat doesn’t dry properly or shine: after smoothing/filing nails after activator application, wipe the dust off your nails and do another coat of activator. Wipe with a paper towel and apply top coat. This makes the top coat dry and harden properly. Sometimes, if I have a lot of nail growth, I just file the top layer off and do a “fill” by dipping and sealing to make it last longer. Be sure to take care of your cuticles. I HIGHLY recommend!

First off, im aware that you get what you pay for, so I didnt expect the quality to be that of the expensive brands. The powder is thin and fluffy as it should be. The brushes are terrible though. They don't spread out at all and somehow miss multiple spots all over the nail, which you of course don't notice until you dip and there's no color in multiple places. So, I can't for sure say if the powder and liquids are good or not, because the brushes are so terrible. And fyi, the top coat doesn't dry in 60 seconds as the instructions say, it takes the same amount of time as a regular nail polish. Lastly, it doesn't come with a color guide, so if you're giving this as a gift, make sure to include a printout of the Amazon listing that shows the colors with their assigned numbers.

My daughter and I bought this to try to do dip at home as the salon was getting so pricey. While it was a bit of trial and error at first, after a few attempts we have it down. Nails turn out beautiful and salon quality. There are so many different colors you can buy and so much more cheaper. You can do a new color weekly. I will say taking it off is challenging and I would recommend purchasing one of the kits that you can buy for removing dip polish! If you aren't too hard on your nails...it lasts a solid 2 weeks!
