My fireplace insert just arrived and when I pulled it out of the box there was NO PLUG and NO REMOTE, NO USER MANUAL, NO PAPERWORK of any kind. No possible way of using it. It says in the description " Plug in and use" and it even shows a picture of a plug. Product description says it comes with a remote and shows a picture of it but no remote was in the box. And the description says "Warning: Please read the user’s manual carefully before using the fireplace." There's NO MANUAL!!! Totally not usable. It's just a big paperweight. UPDATE 8/8/2023 Issue has been resolved. MOCIFI asked for pictures and detailed description so I sent several pics as well as the product label on the back of the fireplace insert and the seller, MOCIFI determined saying, "I very much understand your feelings about receiving an electric fireplace that does not work, the reason for the damage to the plug may have been received from the last customer who purchased this electric fireplace caused by human damage, then Amazon sent this damaged electric fireplace to you, we are very sorry about this, for which I can arrange for a refund of the full amount for you," It was human error and not a defective unit. Things happen. And it nice to know that with clear understanding and patience, a resolution can be reached. And I can apply for an exchange at the buyer's center to get a brand new electric fireplace. Therefore, I have applied 3 stars.

The media could not be loaded. Several years ago I bought a gel fireplace. Lately, the gel prices are astronomical, and when we moved to another State, I wanted to bring the fireplace but knew I wouldn't be using the gel very much. So I found this electric insert and modified the fireplace (took out the holder that held the cans of gel) and was able to fit this insert inside. It's obviously a fake fireplace, but I think it looks nice in our master bedroom. Haven't needed the heater portion yet but it seems to put out a little bit of heat-definitely not a substitute for a furnace, but it adds just a little extra warmth. It does make a little noise, but nothing to worry about.

Our old unit died after years of use. This one was attractive to us for several reasons: It is a good price for what you are getting. It was very close to the size of our old unit. I had to make some minor modifications to the wooden mantle to get this to fit, but that is to be expected. We bought this unit to heat the TV room only. It is not meant to heat a whole house, nor is it meant to run all day every day. It is perfect for a couple of hours to take the chill off. It has very realistic flames. I was most concerned about damage in transit due to the glass screen, but that was a non-issue due to good packaging. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a supplemental heat source. As a general rule of caution, never ever leave these types of heater units running unattended. If you leave the room for any reason or go to bed, shut it off.

This fireplace insert was the perfect size to fit in a cabinet opening that was only 6 inch deep. it warms our 30' camper quickly. The fireplace insert is narrow allowing the air to circulate back to front. We did have to trim it out as there are no other way to secure it in place and did add a dedicated outlet & 20 amp breaker. I purchased the end of 2022 when the camper was in storage thus the reason for the delay of this review.
