Overall i really like this fireplace. I ordered it because my previous electric fireplace from Home Depot died after 3 years of use & this one fit perfectly in the frame. There are two switches on the front, one turns on the heat & the other turns on the “flames”. The picture of the flames can be on without the heat but the heat will not turn on without the flames. The image isn’t too bright but it would be nice if i could just use the heat without the light at night for example. The heat only has one temp and cannot be adjusted. My main concern is how much my electric bill went up! I’ve literally never seen it so high. I would use my old electric fireplace most of the day in the winter & all through the night. I cannot do that with this one unless i want to pay more than triple what i was paying before. ... show more

The remote control does not operate and the heat turns on when it is 80° inside my house even though I set it to 62°. I called to get product support and they said it has not been registered as being delivered and they cannot help me until they get the notification that it has been delivered. It has been delivered to me I have plugged it in and it operates from the front panel.
