I wanted a retractable for my box cutter because I keep putting it down (after I open the box) and having to find it later. After 3 weeks I am hooked on the quality and utility of this thing. Lightweight, strong retraction, and a coated metal braided cord that is strong enough that I don't need to worry about snagging it or even cutting it with the utility knife.The ID clip can be snipped with side cutters if you don't have any intention of using, which is what I did on the belt clip one. I've been primarily using the belt clip version - the clip is very strong and no complaints. The carabiner - I can't tell if it's weak or just so lightweight it gives me the impression of weakness. The hole is wide enough however to replace with something else if it does break. That's nitpicking. My only non-hypothetical complaint is that the adhesive backed carbon fiber looking logo was a little loose when it arrived but after applying pressure for a minute or so it hasn't shown any signs of starting to come off in the last 3 weeks.

I have only had this for a few days now but at the time of writing this retractable keychain is great! What I like about it so far: - The polymer body feels very durable. - The belt clip is a nice width and stiffness - The plastic coated wire retracts quickly and smoothly. - The included split key ring is sturdy and has a nice matte finish. - The ID badge retainer is a rugged reinforced polymer. I'm only using it for 2 jobsite keys right now, so it's maybe a little overkill but it's not overly bulky at all. I will update this review if I have any issues with it.

This is a good product. Very durable. I’ve had many in the past that use a string or a little rope in them and they don’t last long but this one uses a metal cable. The one with a clip that goes on your belt is not as safe. When you get into your car and sit down, it could be pushed off from the belt. So I use the hook type that goes around the belt loop. It works great.

Works perfect and matches my DEWALT ATOMIC Compact Series Pocket Laser Distance Measurer. Even matches the color. The tension is strong and quality is good my only complaint is that I only like the carabiner clip version. I do not like the second one it came with, and didn’t realize there was only one carabiner clip in the set. I don’t see myself even using the second would much much much prefer having two clip versions.
