I bought 6 of these to illuminate my new apartment which is very dark. 4 in the living room and 2 in the master bedroom. These lamps provide decent illumination but they're not super bright so do not expect too much. I needed 4 of them to get good lighting in my 14' by 14' living room, and it's not overly bright. The color of the light has a slight pinkish hue, which you may or may not experience depending on the color of your walls and ceiling. They arrive in a small box and you have to screw the different sections together to create the ~6' tall length. The last top section off the pole is a bit hard to screw in and you'll have to get a little brutal with the cable to get it to work. The pole itself is pretty thin, but it's not offensive. Switching on/off and dimming works fine. I was not a fan of the packaging because the combination of styrofoam, packing tape and plastic always makes a mess and it's not eco friendly. But at this price point, it's very good value for money!

Ye Old Halogen lamp died and finding exact replacement, or even incandescent 3-way bulb for use in another old lamp, seemed impossible. (Though I eventually found the 3-way incandescent bulbs on Amazon, they aren’t bright or luminescent enough, reviewed elsewhere.) This Boost Area Floor Lamp 20W 2000LM LED Torchiere Floor Lamp Dimmable 3000K has a touch sensitive control without state memory or a good old fashioned mechanical switch. That is, turning off the light at the outlet switch when leaving the room means it will not turn on when outlet switch is again activated. Instead, I must walk across the room in the dark to turn on the light at the post mounted touch button—no thanks. Perhaps I’ll find another use for this lamp and won’t return it. Be aware, too, that the dimmer control is temperamental—another reason I advise avoiding the touch-controlled version. Even if I keep it, it has pleasant but clearly less bright light than the halogen it replaces. Perhaps I should have ordered the 11” lamp head instead of the 10” that seemed to fit my space better. Of course, if each design features the same circular LED panel, there would be no difference in output. Also, the lamp post is far less substantial than the old halogen post but an LED needs less support anyway. Still, I wouldn’t place this on a thick carpet or where pets play or children crawl. Safely placed behind a dresser or in an office setting is a better use. But there is a potential downside to the LED design. The circular “panel of tiny LED lights” is permanent—when it dies the whole lamp goes in the trash. This is an odd design for a company claiming LED as the environmental choice. UPDATE: I moved this to a lower level office without a large, obstructing bed. In this smaller 13 x 9’ space the illumination is brilliant. Also I’ve learned to control the dimming feature satisfactorily. As long as I don’t need to turn this on at a wall switch, it’s a happy keeper. I’ve not added any stars because I’m still disappointed that the “bulb” (really a light assembly) isn’t replaceable.

I bought this lamp to replace a broken one I had. I was worried that it wouldn't be the same brightness. Nice surprise to me the lighting is adjustable it has a dimmer, so I was able to adjust it to the other lamps setting, so happy. It's thin but sturdy and very stable does take up a lot of room and doesn't wobble. Assembly was quick and easy. It's a great value, I would buy it again

I dont do many reviews. However, if something deserves it i will. You really only need to know 4 things: - Its bright! The brightest floor flight ive ever used. Im very impressed. It took a 20x20 room and 2 of them completely light it up. - The Dimming Feature is nice. A remote option would be better... but im sure it would cost more The bad - The base is to small and its very easy to topple. Its durable and light weight... so not many issues. However, its annoying on carpet. Just keep that in mind if your using carpet and have pets or small kids - Its not the easiest to put together... but its not bad. Took me 15 minutes per light. Its hard to fix this... Its because of the cord. If the cord is too long, its a pain. If the cord is too short its a pain... I had issues with both being to short and long while putting it together, so be prepared to spend a bit of time assembling. - Bonus - Yes The LEDs are permanent. You can change them... at least im pretty sure. Most LEDs have insane lifetimes these days. You should get a couple 1000 hours i would think. If it dissapoints ill update If you need a floor lamp, get this... It will be my go too.

The lamp assembles prettty easily, if you read the instructions and do it in order (although I was not looking forward to unassembling it when I was considering sending it back). Bright enough BUT only lights upward, as "pan" area is black metal and lets no light through to side or bottom areas. The picture actually shows this, but I did not really understand it, before I had it assembled and connected. This lamp IS dimmable, and the dimming mechanism DOES work, bit it is a little touchy and often has to be attempted multiple times, (which is a little annoying when you are in a hurry). No remote, so you have to stand next to it and hold in the on/off button to dim it. Lowest brightness is enough to keep a room slightly lit, for nighttime navigation. Stand is adequate, but base is a bit less sturdy on my, saltillo tile floor than ideal,and might be problematic on some carpet . For many purposes it might be a fine lamp, depending on your room setup and patience with the dimmer.
