The size of this welder is amazing. It's for sure the little welder than can weighing in at 3.6 pounds. All of my welding experience in the past has been with a wire feed welder. I wanted to get a welder for light simple welding tasks. The pictures for this welder do not show how small this welder really is. I would say it is about the same size or maybe smaller than most battery chargers. It is small but is capable of doing some serious welding. To use it simply plug it in, plug in the ground cable attaching it to the work at hand, plug in the hot cable inserting a welding stick, flip on the power switch on the back of the unit, adjust the desired output using the control knob, and start welding. The welder does have a fan that keeps the unit cool. Hopefully you have a welding mask that is the better than the one that comes with this welder. If not, the welding mask that comes in the box will do for short welding sessions. This welder has a collaborative control function. You only need to follow the prompts for simple operations and the welder can complete complex welding tasks. This makes this welder ideal for armature welders like myself. This welder adopts IGBT inverter technology which helps to accurately output a stable current which aids in making a nice welding seam. This welder can be used to weld non-ferrous metals such as stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, etc. The welder has an LED digital screen to display the current output. It is equipped with over voltage, over current, and over hat protection circuits. The current is adjustable from 20 to 250 amps. More than enough power to perform most light weight weld jobs. In the box you will find the MMA250 Welding Machine, welding ground clamp, mask, gloves, manual, and even 5 welding rods. Everything you need to start welding right out of the box. As mentioned earlier, the welding mask that comes with the welder is pretty light weight. Good enough for a quick job but a better mask is recommended. At the time of this review, this Jiaone MMA250 Mini Electric Welding Machine was selling on a Prime Spring Deal of $42.99 which is 26% off the original price of $57.90. If you are in the market for a welder to perform light weight weld jobs, this is the little welder that can do the job for you. It is so small it will fit on nearly any shelf in your shop or garage.

The MMA250 Mini Electric Welding Machine might be compact, but don’t let the size fool you—it absolutely gets the job done for small home projects. I’m no pro welder, but this little beast made it easy to jump into basic repairs and light fabrication around the house. The synergic control technology really helps dial in the settings, even for beginners like me. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and doesn’t require a fancy setup. Just plug it in and go. I’ve used it on everything from fence repairs to small metal brackets, and the welds are solid. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-nonsense welder for home use or to learn the ropes, this is a fantastic choice. Great value, easy to use, and it doesn’t take up half the garage.

This is a surprisingly good tiny little welder! For its unbelievably small size, it can be cranked up to have a good amount of power. The kit comes with all the tools you need to do lightweight welding jobs. The protective equipment is pretty junky, so it’s advisable to find something better (gloves and shield) if you’re going to use this, well, ever, really. Just to be on the safe side. But for the light household occasional need, this is a shockingly good machine at a very reasonable price - quick and easy to use.

It is hard to tell in the pictures just how small this stick welder is. The old-fashioned welders that I am used to are huge and heavy. This thing is smaller than a 2-slice toaster and weighs almost nothing. When I took it out of the box my first thought was “This will never work” but guess what, it does! I prepped a couple of pieces of angle iron and at first, I could not get an arc to strike, so I cranked it up and sure enough, I was welding. After about 10 seconds it did pop the 20 Amp breaker it was plugged into. So, I reset the breaker and set this down a bit and it worked fine. It was more my technique that was preventing me from getting a good start originally. This thing comes with a few rods a pair of gloves and a really basic face shield. The gloves and face shield are junk, so get better personal protection. Obviously if you plan on welding regularly, this is probably not the welder for you, but if you just occasionally need to do some light welding this thing might do the trick. I also have a flux core wire welder, and it is great for lightweight stuff. This seems to be able to handle slightly heavier duty metals. I am giving 5 stars due to what it seems to be able to do for the price, not because it is the best welder available at any price.

I got this mini welder for my husband so he didn't have to haul out his big welder for small jobs. He was very skeptical when we unpacked it. It's quite small, and let's say his expectations weren't too high. He wanted to test weld something before using it for an actual job. He welded two pieces of metal together and suddenly was all excited about this mini welder. He was quite impressed with how well it worked. After welding he took a hammer to the welded piece and said it was an excellent weld. I also overheard him tell a friend about it and how impressed he was that it actually works well. I would say this mini welder gets two thumbs up from the welder of the family!

The face shield is garbage and not worth the effort of trying to get it assembled. I tossed it as I have a couple of nice welder helmets and got frustrated trying to snap the cheap, plastic, shield together. Anyway, this is a nice, small welder for little craft jobs that are not worthy of breaking out the big guy. It is perfect for beginners. It's a great way to find out if someone has the touch and desire to really get into welding without spending more that 60 bucks.
