I have very long, wavy to curly hair with medium thickness. I am upgrading from the Paul Mitchell Ion straighteners ($100+). The quality is great and it has more features than I was anticipating. Not only is it a beautifully designed product, it also delivers results as promised. For me it only took one pass to straighten a rather large section. I have not used other steam straighteners before but I feel this one is superior to them all. This straightener has something most of them don't and that is the 40mL water tank. I never had to stop and refill the tank. I know it doesn't skimp on the steam either because I almost used the entire amount and it was obvious with the results. My hair has not been this silky or shiny since I attended cosmetology classes where we had access to the salon stuff. This is much healthier than traditional flat irons in my opinion. My hair looks healthier after using it and the style has held after sleeping on it. It is durable too because it fell on the floor and was fine lol. It is returnable and backed by a 2 year warranty so I am not worried. The only bad thing about this product is the instruction manual which has since been updated. Even though the instructions were hard to understand I didn't get electrocuted and the hair straightener is still in good shape so I would say the product usage is pretty straightforward. It was a lot easier to use than I expected and is surprisingly easy to maintain as well. I'm not used to large/bulky tools, but I adjusted to this very quickly. I did some research about the origin of this product because I see it available from multiple sellers. Mkboo was the only seller I trusted because they offer a warranty and were the most professional out of everyone else I asked. The customer service is phenomenal and I would not buy this item elsewhere. I bought this mainly for the built-in comb feature. I was wary about the steam because I live in a dry state and humidity makes my hair frizz badly. But took a gamble and bought it based on the great reviews. This is the best flatiron I've ever had! I've straightened my hair for years and after using this iron I've had at least 3 people say, "Oh, you straightened your hair today". That's how smooth and straight this did my hair where the other irons never got it that smooth. I had to use a lot of product for the same result. HOWEVER...the comb did fall out while I was pulling it through my hair and in reflex, I caught it with my arm against my stomach and it immediately burned my arm (after half a second contact, because it was so hot, I immediately let it drop). I still use this cause I love it. JUST DON'T TOUCH IT OR LET THE STEAM CONTACT YOUR SKIN. I had it on the 410 degree setting, now I use the lower and get same results. :) ... show more

The fact that I wanted one so long and found the perfect one is amazing. It looks expensive but it’s very affordable. I love how it is neatly made, very smooth and the color option is pretty. It is just the right size, does not smell and does its job perfectly in getting my daughter hair straight. She has really thick hair and it works great on her hair texture. The water storage is difficult to open. The on and off switch is on the outside and while holding the iron you accidently turn it off. Cut the steam off and on or turn other buttons on and off. It's not ergonomically correct.

My first use and the internal comb coating melted off in the process of straightening so is now in the hair. I am not done on my daughters head but it does not get close enough to straighten the roots. Overall it looks/works decent. I will update with pictures as she has very curly hair with mixed textures. I do like the comb, I just wish the coating didn’t melt. Do not pull out while hot, I learned my lesson after scorching myself but user error. Not what I would of expected for the price but I will update after I’m done. Update: it works ok. Not as straight as I would of liked but I heard the steam is better for the hair which I could be wrong but definitely more poofy after done. I like the comb concept as well so I will try on my type 4c hair when I take my braids out. ... show more

I am a Baby Boomer who likes long hair. Problem is, now that I'm post-menopausal, my hair is a lot dryer, and a bit thinner. When I wash my hair, even after using great shampoo and conditioner, my hair looks drab, bushy, and dry. SO...... I went looking for something that would rescue my hair. And found this amazing tool. It's a flat iron, that uses steam, and has a little comb. As you pull it through your hair, the steam makes it look so nice, and the comb helps keep your hair strands separated and smooth. I was afraid it would burn and fry my already dry hair, but it didn't. I use it at the lowest setting (300°F), and it's perfect. When I was done with my hair the first time, it was like the hands of time were turned back to my younger age when I had healthy shiny hair.!!!! I can't say enough good things about this flat iron. I am VERY THANKFUL I found it. I was afraid I would have to cut a lot of my hair off. Now I can keep it longer, which I prefer. Please give this serious consideration. 😃👍 ... show more
