Great product, well known brand, a little pricey. Very disappointed in product performance. Leaves hair more oily than preferred even using smallest amount and does not add luster. There is no moisturization to speak of. An hour after you have styled your hair, there's no apparent benefit or improved physical appearance to the hair. UPDATE 3/2015 - just about 4 years later I'm finally getting to the bottom of the jar! It is STILL the best stuff I've ever used. That is, I'm a white (pink actually) old lady with the frizziest pure white, wavy hair. I have tried so many "frizz control" products I'd just about given up hope to find some lite dressing that could be applied to my hair after blow drying. When it arrived, I gave it a try. Oh yeah! My broken ends (a bad dye job bleached out) just soaked it up, and yes weighted it down too. But it was just the right combination to smooth out the frizz on the ends as well as soothing the grow out bits into submission. I could blow it out straight without looking like I'd been attacked by the straw hair demon. It's now morning and just a simple comb through brought my hair into shining compliance. My fingers can run though and it actually blows in a breeze. Other dressings held it all in place like helmet hair from the movie Steel Magnolias. Can't wait to try it on clean hair! Expensive? Yes. But a small dime sized bit did the trick. This jar is going to last a looooong time. It wasn't until I checked out the Mizani web site that these products were mostly for black hair. Well, who cares? My hairdresser recommended this product for me and I am hooked! I put a little of this on my palms and squeeze it into my wet hair and then blow dry with alternating hot and cold air with the diffuser. My thick hair has a natural wave to it and this product helps create beautiful soft curls. My hair is not sticky or hard and the product smells amazing! I definitely recommend this!     • not super dry roots
Hair type:medium-thick, wavy, not super dry roots. Product: feels like conditioner. Use a very small amount, then build up as needed. I have fairly frizzy hair (especially in humidity). This is the best frizz tamer I have found, but don't apply too much at once or you'll end up with greasy looking hair. After showering and towel drying, I usually gently dab my fingers into the jar, rub the soufflé all over my palms and fingers and lightly run my fingers and palms through my hair, working from ends to roots. After my hair dries, I apply a bit more to tame my hair. When it's not too humid, these two applications are enough to tame the frizz until the next wash. I didn't give it a full five stars because it's still hard to tame some of the baby hairs without adding too much soufflé and making them look greasy. ... show more
