I purchased this to replace our previous single cup coffee maker. But as there are 3 of us in the house this little guy just wasn't robust enough for our needs. I do frequently dog sit, so I'll be taking this with me for when I'm the only one drinking coffee. The coffee maker is very light, but works well. It's decently fast, I didn't feel it took too long. It really is fussy with the finely ground/espresso ground coffee that my sister uses. I wouldn't recommend it for that. It's not overly loud. Definitely don't open the top right after it finishes perking, you'll get a face full of steam. The power button feels a little fragile. I do like the small size and light weight. This is a really wonderful little coffee maker. The quality of the brew is indistinguishable from what I get with the same coffee out of my high-price espresso machine. And it is hot! The best tasting coffee is really hot, and what comes out of this maker is hotter than any coffee maker I have previously owned. Some reviewers have observed that the plastic seems cheap. It is very light, but these days plastic can be very strong and not weigh much. Also, it is made to brew directly into the travel vessel that comes with it, but I brew it directly into my favored double-wall glass with no problem. Since I don't like cleaning filters, I set aside the filter that came with it and got some little disposable paper filters. Works great ... show more

This is a simple, basic and small coffee maker, and I love it so far after a month of use, making 2 cups a day. I’m not a coffee snob – I just like a good basic cup of ground coffee. This coffee maker does the trick. It’s also small – another thing I like. I’ve only used the included mug as a “to go” mug a couple of times, and it worked fine both times. I usually use the included mug as a carafe, and just pour from the mug into a coffee cup that I have. The cleanup is easy. As some reviews have noted, the long-term quality is still unknown, as the material is relatively thin. However, at this price point, you can’t go wrong with this little coffee maker if your coffee requirements are basic. At this point, I would definitely buy this Mixspresso again. ... show more

Pros: the silver , grey & white is a great color combination. I like the neutral colors. It is much easier to see how much water there is and any potential issues with this color combination. I like the on button being on the side and no additional buttons. I like the simplicity of this coffee maker Cons: I should have read the other reviews about the button not working correctly. I had the same issue. I was able to turn the button on once while cleaning the machine prior to use. The second time cleaning the machine the on button would not work at all. Prior to the second cleaning I made sure that machine was cooled down. Unplugged it and waited at least 10 minutes. Same issue the machine would not turn on, even after following all the instructions. The machine is defective so I sent it back. The plastic is a not that that thick. Unfortunately I have noticed this awful quality with at least 2 similar 1 cup coffee makers I have purchased under $30. It's not just this brand. Quality in many brands is not as good as it used to be. Initially I was going to take a chance and order another 1 cup coffee maker in the exact same color combination in hopes the on button was just a rare defect. However I decided not to instead I purchased a 1 cup coffee maker that was over $40. It's not as simple and has a few glitches yet the water is hotter and it's a better quality coffee maker. I m hoping that the on button switch on this moddle of coffee maker could be upgraded to something better that actually works. A new and improved switch. If a new and improved model comes out I d take a chance and purchase this coffee maker again. I did like almost everything about it. Except the switch. ... show more

This is a quality coffee maker. I have used it daily for over 2 months and it works great. My coffee is the perfect strength for me and always hot. It does not take up much room on my counter and it is easy to clean. I am just sorry I didn’t find this little gem sooner.

    • It's OK for the money

It's OK. Makes a cup of coffee. For the price, you can't beat it. A few issues though. The cup it comes with gets warm and it builds pressure between the cup and the foam cushion that sits on surfaces. A little bubble was created. Not a problem to fix. I poked a hole in the coaster. It stopped leaning after that. The other issue so far is that once you take out the coffee cup, you immediately have to put a cup under it. Even after I cleaned the coffee basket, it still continued to drip coffee. You get what pay for. The price is right in this case. Still does the job but you shouldn't have to augment the function of a brand new device. I tried submitting a picture but it won't load. ... show more
