I bought this as I'm a new nursing student and have never been a coffee drinker. Well, that's all changing with the amount of schoolwork and trouble staying alert in the afternoon in class. I bought this little guy for $20 and figured I'd give it a go. It's small and cute. Fits on my nightstand if I'd like to make coffee as soon as I rise! It brewed well and hot! The cup thus far keeps it pretty warm! The cup is the perfect size. I may even take it to class for others to use for a pick me up. Would make a great gift as well. I got the mint green and it's a good little coffee maker. Maybe add a little more grounds than what it calls for if you like it stronger!

I absolutely appreciate the compact design and durability of this little cutie. It is lightweight and does not take up much space on my nightstand. It's become my go-to every morning for producing a great cup of coffee or tea. While it does leak a small amount of water and sometimes leaves coffee grounds in my cup, it's a must-have in ease of use. I would definitely purchase this item again for the travel mug alone.

After using this single-serve maker for three weeks, I can say that I've been pleasantly surprised that this value priced unit has been performing above expectation, but I still have reservations about the durability/longevity of the unit. The cup is also nothing to write home about. Despite the reports from others, I have not experienced any issues with the wire mesh filter basket that came with the unit; I use a fairly fine grind on my coffee and have not seen any noticeable particulate in the resulting brew. The inclusion of a sized cup is a nice feature; however, the quality of that cup is fairly poor with insulation being mostly just a thermal barrier to protect your hand than actually providing any temperature stability of the drink. Additionally, the lid is fairly bad and the seal sometimes doesn't hold as well as I'd like; most of the time I just leave it off since it's not actually keeping the drink warm. For the price, I wasn't expecting anything from the cup anyway, so I can't say that it's a disappointment, rather it's living down to what I expected. Additionally, the water measurement markings inside the reservoir stand out from the wall as little platforms which makes filling the unit to the desired capacity very easy to do without needing to use the cup as a measuring device. My big reservations come in the construction of the unit. The whole thing feels cheap and is predominantly made from thin, flimsy plastic that I question the long-term durability of. This extends to the steam pipe, rotational coupling, drip head, and filter basket, which I have concerns about standing up to the temperatures they are subjected to on a daily basis. If I were to guess, the coffee maker was designed to last just long enough to outlive the warranty. Still, I am cautiously optimistic that with gentle use, the unit might provide more than a year of service. If the unit is still working three years from now, I'll be back to bump up the rating to five stars. The Good: Can't beat the price The coffee strainer is surprisingly good at filtration Comes with a sized cup Volume markings inside the reservoir are clear and stand out from the wall for easy measuring It just works The Bad: Unit is made almost entirely out of plastic Cheap feel The cup the unit comes with unit is not well insulated Overall: Good budget option that comes in far below most competing products as long as you don't expect this to be anything other than a barebones drip coffee pot with a kind of crummy cup. The 1-year warranty is probably what you should expect of the lifespan of the unit with heavy use.

We bought this to replace our full sized coffee maker in our camp trailer because I just didn’t want to sacrifice so much valuable counter space. I purchased red to match the decor and it is a nice muted red, not lipstick red. Perfect!! I have only made five “test pots” to ensure it worked well and so far, I am impressed (don’t stress, they were not wasted) I had a few concerns so I would like to specifically address them because I figure you may be thinking the same thing I was: *Will it make a mess if I just put in grounds with no filter? Nope! Not at all. No sludge in my cup (fine fresh ground straight from my grinder) and no spill over the basket. You may have to play around with measurements to make it the strength you like. I also made a pot with the little single serve pouches and that worked fine as well (easier to clean) but it was too weak for me. *Will it be difficult to clean? Nope! Easy-Peasy! If you are not using a filter (it comes with a permanent filter basket) just take out the basket, tap it into the compost can and give it a quick rinse. I will advise to be careful as the grounds are very hot right after you brew (as expected). *Will it brew hot enough? Yep! You betcha! Takes a few minutes to cool off before you can drink it. If you are too eager, add some cream or risk a lip scalding. *Will it take foooorrreeeevvvveeerrr to brew the first cup in the morning? Nope! Mind you, this only brews about 15 ounces but the coffee was done in just over 2 minutes. My home coffee maker is and always has been a Bunn, so I am quite spoiled by a quick pot but this is fast enough to get the first cup on board. Additionally, I brewed 3 pots in quick succession and the last pot was quicker than the first by about 15 seconds. The coffee maker comes with a thermal “to go” mug but you can also brew right into a regular larger coffee cup. This was very inexpensive, arrived well packaged (with directions, just in case) and makes a good cup of coffee. This is exactly what we needed for the small space.

Makes a great cup of coffee as well as tea. So easy to use. Small size is perfect for a small kitchen. I knew my favorite cup wouldn’t fit but I can adapt. Overall, I am so happy I can get a cup of coffee again.
