The media could not be loaded. The material seems strong and it supports the weight of the mixer well. The top is flat and the bottom has standard furniture glides attached. This works well and it’s the exact right size for the KitchenAid mixer, so you hardly know it’s there. For the most part, this slides really well on the glides when you pull by the mixer. I noticed there is some slight propensity for the mixer to move a bit off of the platform. I’d give this five stars if the edges of the platform were a bit taller to ensure the mixer did not slip off. As it is, the edges are just a little too shallow for me to be confident the mixer won’t topple off. ... show more

The mat has a raised edge all around that is smooth. Mixer sits perfect and slides back and forth easy on the Teflon sliders. Now I don't have to struggle to pull and lift it when it is back against the counter wall. Depending how much you use your mixer I would take it off once in a while to clean and use a moist towel or sponge to wipe it down and dry it as it is metal. ... show more

Anyone who has managed to get that longed-for KitchenAid on the counter knows that moving it around takes real effort. I never knew there was a product developed to solve this common problem until I ran across the entry for this KitchenAid countertop slider. I ordered it in a flash! The delivery arrived this afternoon. I quickly arranged the slider under the mixer and drove it around the counter with a huge smile on my face. My husband said I looked like a kid who just got a new Matchbox monster truck. Boy, do I ever love this thing. It wasn't until after I sat down to offer a HUGE recommendation, that I remembered that I hadn't attached the slider to the mixer base. Some day in the future I will have some reason to lift the KitchenAid and remember my error when the slider lands on my foot. At that point, I will stick the two together. Right now, it's no problem. Until then, I will enjoy not wrestling with my mixer and I'll be thankful that I discovered this brilliant solution to every baker's common problem—moving the mixer out to start a new project. I'm planning a hummingbird cake for church on Sunday. It's going to be a breeze. Bakers, you need this! If you are on the fence about getting a slider mat for your KitchenAid, don't quibble.     • Outstanding slider: Better than flexible styles

I have loved using sliders under the countertop kitchen appliances I move around. I slide my coffee maker, toaster oven, rice maker, etc., back to not take up space when not using. I've been using the rubber/leather/fabric types for a year or two and have been happy with them. The only issue I've had is cleaning them. My coffee maker, for example, occasionally leaks from its base. I've been unable to remove these marks and stains from the sliders I've been using. Also, permanent indentations have been created, which would make reusing the sliders for new appliance problematic. Both of these are cosmetic concerns, so nothing major. This metal slider solves those problem. It slides easily on hard discs attached to the bottom. It wipes clean easily and won't develop dings or indentations like the other type. An additional bonus is the small ridge around the edge, which will help contain overflows from my coffeemaker if/when they occur. The only bummer is that these are shaped for stand mixers, so they won't be usable for appliances with a more square footprint, like my toaster oven and my rice cooker. I'm keeping my eye out for metal sliders that will work for those. RECOMMENDED. ... show more

I also have one under my coffee maker because it’s kind of tucked under the cabinet and it makes it so easy to just pull it forward and push it back in place when it’s not in use. Mixer Slider Mat for KitchenAid Mixer Works great. The others that slide one direction doesn’t work with my set up. I needed to pull out and turn 90 degrees. This is great and it is a perfect fit under our mixer. The black edge around the bottom in the photo is the slider mat. It slides easy enough when you pull or push the mixer to where you want it on our granite countertop but stays in place while it is being used.
