I love the color of this stand, and it looks very nice with my vintage green mixer. It is great for protecting the countertops and moves easily; however, my mixer chipped the wood the first time that I put it on the base (even though I placed it very gently). Also, I don't always keep my mixer on the countertops, so it's a bit of a pain lugging it out of the pantry with the wooden base. I wish there was a way to attach the base to make it all one piece - this would also help prevent any chips/scratches from the mixer moving around on top of the base.

I honestly didn’t think something this simple would make such a big difference, but wow — this mixer slider is a total game changer. I have a KitchenAid 5qt tilt-head that lives on my kitchen counter, and while I love it, moving it to clean underneath was always a chore. It’s heavy and the rubber feet grip like glue (which is great until you actually want to move it). This slider makes it SO easy to slide my mixer back and forth with one hand. I just give it a gentle nudge, and it glides out like it’s on hidden wheels — but it’s not. No more tugging, tilting, or scratching my countertops. I got the dark brown color and it looks sleek and subtle, not like an afterthought. The wood is smooth, sturdy, and has a good weight to it, so it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. One thing to note: because it slides so well, if you're mixing something super heavy or using high speeds, keep a hand on it just in case. It might "walk" a little. But for general use, it stays put just fine. Overall, I’d say this is a must-have if you use your mixer regularly or keep it on the counter. I’d absolutely get another one as a gift for a fellow baker.
