I chose this one because of the wood look, and also no beam through the middle (10x13 size). The assembly was straightforward and it is taller than I realized, which is why I like this design so much. It looks custom made and is really sturdy. The louvers are easy to open and are entirely waterproof when closed. We love sitting out there when it rains, which is why we chose this option over a custom built wooden pergola. Several people have been surprised that it is metal when they touched it. The wood grain pattern is a high quality finish.

I was looking for an easy pergola to put together that has a wood look. I was able to assemble most of it by myself, I just needed a second pair of hands when putting the two cross members up. Otherwise I did it all single handedly and it was relatively easy to assemble. I would recommend watching the company’s assembly video, especially if you are a visual learner. The pergola provides great rain protection and the gutter system works really well to divert water away. After a year, the pergola still looks as good as new without ever being cleaned or pressure washed. It has also been through 80 MPH winds without a problem. I would highly recommend this pergola especially if you can get it during a sale.

I got it for my mother in law in December. We had 2-3 people working on it. Took us about 2.5 hours to put it up. 2 people can work on it but I recommend a third person to watch your back. The tool box and the manual are very entry level friendly. As long as you’re able to assemble IKEA drawer you’d be able to assemble this giant pergola. Ladder was the only thing we used and not included in the toolbox. So far we’re very happy with the pergola. The details such as the cutting and painting and assembling are very well designed. It’s aluminum with coating so it’s light, it’s strong. Looks great on our deck. We got some snow and rain in January and by closing the blind on top of the pergola can make it waterproof.

I bought 2 of them and installed them by myself. I suggest 2 people to make it easier but it can be done solo. It drains nice in a rain storm and no water makes it through whatsoever!!! The posts are nice and sturdy as is all the parts really. I am happy with this purchase!!
